Frankly, a disgrace!! We booked a table for 8pm, party of 4, as a birthday dinner. After ordering our food, we waited, and waited, only to be told our food would come soon. Finally, at 9:30, our 4 starter salads arrived (which were very good, to be fair!). However, other tables who arrived later started getting their orders, while we still didn't get our main course at 10:45!! That's almost THREE hours. Other guests started complaining about long waits as well. When we then decided to cancel the rest due to the ridiculous wait, all of a sudden food would be ready in 5 mins. We declined and asked for the bill. Full price was charged, not even a compensation to the (several) drinks we had to order during our ridiculously long wait. When we complained, staff was apologetic but obviously not able to really understand ours and other guests' frustration over the waiting times. Left totally disgruntled. Went there with a friend, because we loved a Burmese restaurant we went to in Christchurch. We were not disappointed. Our favorite was definitely the tealeaf salad. But everything else we had was also good or amazing. Also service was really good. read more
