Bella is a true professional. I found that after my consistent appointments with her, my aches and…read moresoreness related to professional strain were gone. I am so convinced that routine sessions with Bella provide tangible both healing and preventive results. I am a nurse practitioner trained in Western medicine. I am a strong believer in holistic approach and complementary treatments that provide an added benefit that reduces the intake of pharmacological substances. Bella provides more than help with physiological strain. She is soothing, exudes comforting energy, and therapeutic touch. I have been impressed with her knowledge and instincts. She has helped me with neck tightness, TMJ tension, and lower back pain. I have continued regular treatments with her and have noticed that I no longer have to take Motrin for my aches. Bella has a gift. I so wish to see a better recognition for CAM, complementary alternative medicine, in solving basic issues without adverse effects of drugs.

Bella is amazing in every way. She is an extremely talented Rolfer - which to me means she can…read morerealign and transform your body without making it painful. She is also a caring, considerate person. You really feel taken care of when you see Bella. Your body feels better and so does your spirit. I looked forward to every single appointment I have had with her in the 15+ years I've been seeing her. I started with the ten series and then progressed to treating my neck and back pain. I always leave feeling like a new, improved version of myself.

I had a cough for 13 YEARS and it was getting worse as time went on. When COVID hit I thought if I…read morecatch it, I am going to die. That is when I bit the bullet and decided to try acupuncture. I had tried western medicine, and nothing had helped. I hate needles, but I was desperate. I had no idea there was such a thing as Japanese acupuncture. The needles are very short and I never felt them once he put them in. I went every week for three months and my cough was gone. That was two years ago and now I am getting help with from Doctor Meyer for sleep issues and that is working as well. No acupuncture is not a panacea for all ills but it is a non invasive way to balance the body so the body can heal. I can't thank Doctor Meyer enough for his help and would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with health issues.

Valuable to me in a practitioner are qualities of patience, thoroughness, humility, and collaboration. In my experience visiting St. Francis Health Center, and specifically with my nurse practitioner, Abby Rodriguez, I have felt entirely seen and cared for. The establishment is explicitly feminist and highly regards the voices and opinions of patients, materials in the lobby emphasize the power of women to make their own health choices and it is clear that the St. Francis Health Center exists to support women to do just that. In my checkups with Abby, I never felt like she lacked for time. Abby asked lots of questions pertaining to my physical, mental, and emotional health, in addition to performing a routine physical and ordering blood work. Based on my answers and the results of my blood work, Abby has been able to recommend a range of non-invasive options to support my particular health needs including vitamins, herbs, and supplements, and personally recommending mental health professionals, acupuncturists, various types of alternative and energy therapists. For example, Abby was able to recommend a pre- and post-surgery protocol of vitamins/supplements that accelerated my healing in incredible ways, much to my surgeon's dismay. Throughout my time seeing Abby, I have felt that we were exploring questions and answers together - without the undue pretension of an MD who makes an act of knowing more than they do and discards the infinite potential offered by Eastern/"Alternative" Medicine. I appreciate Abby for embracing and supporting my health interests and helping me to expand my own knowledge and understanding with the deep kindness and compassion you'd want in a personal relationship with someone caring for your whole self. I recommend her and this clinic to anyone.
