My daughter had the scallops (she made me taste and they were terrific). My wife and nephew had the lamb shank, and my niece had the chicken spanaki. Something new, they expanded the drink menu with some new takes on old staples my daughter had a pineapple infused bourbon with pineapple ginger. Rajni's version comes close, but this one wins in consistency and flavor. Absolutely worth it. Pachi Mirchi Kodi Biryani- Let's not call it biryani--because it's not. But as a dish? Fantastic. It's more like chicken gravy mixed with rice, and it tastes really good. but its miles away from being called BIRYANI. I'm a big mutton/lamb/goat and biryani lover. Most people hesitate to try goat at restaurants due to the smell, but I always give it a shot--knowing I'll be disappointed 70% of the time. This time, it paid off. Overall, I'd give them a 4/5, but: * I'm deducting 1/2 star for hygiene. Even if dine-in isn't their focus, the restaurant still needs basic cleaning. The nuggets were crispy and, after a forced intermittent fast caused by missing several exits, he was basically in seven heaven. Apparently, biryani, nihari, and qorma are among the dishes you should try when exploring Pakistani food. The meat was tender and perfectly spiced. Personally, I wouldn't have minded a little bit more spice, but this was a beautiful marriage. For the entrée, we ordered some bread with the goat karahi and chicken biryani. The karahi came to the table, sizzling hot and was an absolute spectacle. The spices were absolutely on point and the goat was cooked to the bone, it was very tender and bursting with flavor. The chicken biryani was spicy just how we ordered it and had the perfect ratio of masala to rice. The rice was cooked beautifully and not clump together. This was a really solid plate of biryani. We obviously had so many leftovers and happily took them home. I ordered the pink kashmiri chai to wash all of this down. The owner was super friendly and we enjoyed talking to him very much.
