Specialties
I represent Sellers and Buyers in residential real estate transactions, tenaciously guarding my clients' interests, and treating their money as if it were mine. I also meticulously manage properties for landlords who prefer not to hassle interfacing with tenants directly, and I'm happy to help folks find a house or condo to lease and guide them through that process.
History
Established in 2000.
Mancill Realty was first incarnated in San Antonio, TX in January of 2001. I operated there as a sole-proprietor broker for about 5 years. When my family moved to Austin in the summer of 2006, I first worked as an agent for HomeCity Real Estate, mostly helping buyers relocating to Austin from all over the United States. In 2010, I decided I knew enough people to hang my own shingle back out and reestablished Mancill Realty in Austin. In 2011, I had my best year ever in terms of gross fees earned, and in 2012, I beat that best year considerably. Mostly through keeping in touch with an old-fashioned monthly newsletter that I mail to my closest circle of past clients, friends, and family, I hope to continue to have every succeeding year be a new "best year ever." My guiding purpose is to make my clients so outrageously happy that they will introduce me to at least two of their friends or colleagues before their transaction even closes.
Meet the Business Owner: Kirk M.
I'm entering my 18th year in residential real estate sales, management, and leasing. There is no problem in a transaction I haven't faced, figured out, and conquered successfully. I've been married to my college sweetheart for 27 years, and we have two grown kids--one in college, and one just finishing high school. I love to be physically active and healthy, and I enjoy a variety of exercise: weight training, swimming, running, biking, backpacking, and stand-up paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake. My long-time church home here in Austin is St. John's United Methodist, and I consider everyone there a part of my family. My historical heroes are Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. My all-time favorite musical artist is the inimitable Johnny Cash. We share our home with two mongrel hounds and a new three-legged white kitten.
