Being in the city centre its quite convient if you drop off your car in the morning, go to the shops or check out a movie and then your car is ready. I think if you have an MOT / service they also wash the car for you (dont quote me on that one!) Cons: Since its not the largest garage in the world they sometimes dont have what you want in stock. I needed some continental tyres for my car and they had to order them in. (Admittedly it didnt take long at all for them to get them in).

There are things in life you need and thats to know a Plumber, Electrician & a Mechanic, especially a mechanic you can trust. I dropped off my little honda jazz off today with Paul. Hes a one man mechanic who is also a big fan of social media (live by the sword die by the sword) & radio star (The Car Guru on Oldham's 96.2 The Revolution). Paul made me feel very much at easy today when dropping my car off. A Very friendly bloke who explains stuff in english & doesn't confuse you with mechanical jargon. He is also "Female Friendly" approved. As a driver i'm now glad i have found somewhere where i feel i won't be ripped off.

On collection, they informed me that the car has not yet been fully fixed (they were expecting me to pay an additional £1,000). Furthermore, the engine light has reappeared, the AC is broken and my windscreen wipers no longer work. Bearing in mind I selected a FULL FIT JOB (the most expensive service they offer), after paying over £2,000 for a service, I am no better off than when I started. Manchester Engine Centre have terribly CS and absolutely no after sales customer care. They have refused to accept and responsibility or offer any resolution. BEWARE, THEY ARE A SCAM! I have informed the Office of Trading Standards, who confirmed they already have an investigation into this fraudulent company.

They made every effort to reduce the total cost to me and went to great lengths to explain what they were doing. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of this business, There is one thing worse than an costly engine breakdown.. thats the feeling that it has been made more expensive by the garage.Thankfully I drove away assured that these "proper mechanics" had done a great job as cost effectively as possible. Don't waste your money - stay well away…read more This outfit took £190 and failed to do the job that was requested - the dpf was blocked on a Vauxhall Insignia, I was told that £190 job would definitely sort out the problem, a number of weeks later and after doing no more than 100 miles the dpf filter remains blocked - I have a aa report to confirm this - this outfit claims they can clear a dpf filter with their so called chemicals - it has definitely not worked on my car - I have re contacted the business owner and he has refused to return to do the job again - avoid this company at all costs - they do not deliver on their promises - I am also contacting trading standards
