100% Scam. They hired me to do a job, told both me and the client that the paperwork is 100% good, and I proceeded with the job. On the day of the job it was discovered that they did not get approval and the job was cancelled. I lost several thousand dollars as a result and have yet to get any response on reimbursement. I was excited to get an email stating that I have an opportunity for a job and would receive a phone interview. However, during the phone interview the interviewee asked for my Social Security number, to which I replied "Absolutely not" to which they responded with anger. I told them I was not interested anymore, hung up and blocked their number and a few hours later ANOTHER person called me again under a different number. This is absolutely ridiculous and such a scam. Their lead recruiter Ashley Moreira contacted me and made a particular focus on me clicking through links in an email 10 minutes into an introduction. She has no LinkedIn or recruiting page which is hard to believe for lead recruiter at a staffing agency. There were no job postings anywhere to be found for Managed Staffing & CVS working together. She pulled my resume and edited in facts we talked about while leaving lead sentences lower case. A professional doesn't let those details slip if they're to help get you hired. Due to so many scammers, I do not answer the call if I do not recognize a phone number. Anyone on the up and up will leave a voice mail message. However, this morning, I got a call from the same number in three quick successions. I answered on the third call. Someone referring to themselves as 'Alex' contacted me today about a position in Charlotte. He was unintelligible. I asked for information about the job to be emailed to me. He asked me for my email address. I informed him that if he had my resume, he also had my email address. (of course, after some searching, he was able to locate it on my Monster.com account) I told him I would review the information, but I would not have time to get back to him today. He became agitated and told me some garbled mess about only so many slots (well, how many Admins is this company hiring?!?) He consistently mispronounced North Carolina as 'caroleena'. I had to drag information out of him about his alleged company. He finally told me he was in a Texas Staffing Company called Managed Staffing (I had to ask him to spell it...I could NOT understand him). I said I thought it was incredibly odd a staffing agency in Texas was trying to place candidates for a position in North Carolina (especially for the type of job I am searching for.) He then told me he was working with an offshore staffing agency. Caught in more than one questionably untruthful statement. SCREAMS OF SCAM. I told him to never contact me again. Got four calls about a position I'd already applied for 45m earlier. Philip Saha repeatedly tried to get me to apply for the position, even after I already told him clearly I'd already applied. He said my resume wasn't on the client's board (a lie) & asked me to confirm the job number he provided; I did so. I told him again I'd already applied and hung up on him. A female employee of theirs called back, and I told her the same thing; she hung up. Philip Saha sent me an email asking what pay rate I'd accept, and then called me again to ask for my month & day of birth. I said I already provided those when I applied for the job. After I blocked both phone numbers on my phone, I got a fourth call from Managed Staffing, but they hung up when I answered. The next contact I get from Managed Staffing will be followed by my calling the police and report them for harassment. Do not give this Indian-based front company anything. Got a response to my resume on Indeed from a Sekhar Shaw of Managed Staffing. He said he had an exciting opportunity for me with CVS in Harrisburg, PA. That it was an "office" job. He had me send him my resume. (which he already had from Indeed?) I did just that, but at the same time, felt uneasy about doing it. But for $21/hr.? I then received a call from him. After verifying the position information and such, he asked me for my birth date, I reluctantly gave him my birth date, then, he asked for the last four digits of my SS#! I replied, "I'm not giving you the last four of my social, for what purpose?". I don't even know you! He said, in an annoyed voice, "It's just the last four of your SS#!" I replied, "I'm still not giving it to you". He then asked me if I could send it to him in an email? Sure, no problem! (Yeah, right... No way am I sending my social to a complete stranger!!) After I got off the phone with Sekhar Shaw, I did my research. I know, for sure, there are no CVS "offices" in Harrisburg, PA just pharmacies!! I live around there. That was my first doubt!! I worked for this company for the last 8 months and had no issues with payment, and no need to contact them or use them for anything else. So it is a bit hard to say how they fare on everything. I will say they are hard to understand on the phone (accents), but email response is quick and detailed. I did think they were a scam at first since they asked if I would like the higher of two hourly wages - of COURSE I wanted the higher one, but as it turned out the company they sent me to (in Oregon) wasn't offering this rate; odd - someone's wires got crossed somewhere. I was only perusing job listings on Indeed and they contacted me via email out of the blue, I don't think I even looked at that listing; so it did seem like a scam -- I called the location in Oregon and it wasn't a scam, Managed Staffing was sent a request (along with a bunch of other temp agencies) for workers by the company I was assigned to.
