Our entrees were sweet and sour chicken, a beef dish bursting with flavor, a veggie dish and scrumptious fried rice. So full and happy. Full of local Chinese people so we ate like the locals. An extensive dim sum and regular menu. Only negative was it was a bit noisy.

I think this speaks a lot to its quality and authenticity in terms of chinese cantonese foods. They do both dim sum (think chinese style tapas/small plates served in the morning and brunch), as well as usual chinese dishes for dinner. Definitely recommend this to any person who actually appreciates real chinese food instead of westernized ones.

Didn't have any luck ordering through just-eat, but it was literally down the road so I guess I was being a bit lazy. Drove down and parked at the fuel station next door. Pretty stereotypical Chinese takeaway feel to it, your generic fish tank under the front desk, Chinese calendars and ornaments etc. Very friendly staff and i was a served straight away. Nice idea having the kitchen open, it looked clean and it was nice to see literally everyone mucking in. I guess I was waiting around 15 minutes but I ordered the fillet steak so I'd be worried if it came out sooner. I spent the time watching the fish in the tank beneath the desk so it went surprising quick. Absolutely fantastic food and well worth the money, one of the best Chinese takeaways I've been to. They even threw in some free prawn crackers :-)

Decore is basic but tidy and clean, perfect for me; you know all your money goes towards food not fancy decorations. Onto the food. It's proper Chinese food, at least the Chinese dishes are. Dumplings are hand made and not just out of a frozen packet, and the noodles also don't taste like they come out of a packets. Best of all it's not been anglicised at all. No more needs to be said. And it's super good value. Service is basic and on the slow side. But food takes time to cook. That's just how it is. Overall 9/10. It's not a wine and dine place. More for those who want good food, and not much else. Thoroughly recommended

They serve chinese food and steamboat here. I have not tried the ala carte dishes but have tried the steamboat twice. It is good value for money, a tenner for a buffet style steamboat. Steamboat is typically a chinese meal where your food ingredients are cooked in a simmering pot of soup. I had the spicy si chuan soup which was awesome. The buffet style here is not take all you can, they serve you more on request when you are done. Food that they serve include beef, pork, chicken, mussels, prawn and vegetables. They also have a few kinds of dipping sauces which are quite good. I always end up too full here but I will still visit again! :)

I got the simmered chicken with yellow bean sauce. While it tasted really excellent, I'm knocking a star off because it was cubed but not de-boned. Some of the romance of date night was reduced by all the fiddly little bits of bone and other non-edible chicken bits. Still, I cannot fault the taste in the least. My boyfriend got a beef and chili dish (I think it was the crispy beef with ginger and chili). I was impressed with the nice seared texture of the thinly sliced beef (lots of places rely on the sauce a bit too much and overlook texture). It had tons of chili and I was worried it would be too much for me, but it was very good. The spiciness had a slow build and I would definitely order it again. As you can see from the photo I uploaded the menu is perfectly comprehensible for English-only speakers. The waitress was either a bit shy or had less English herself but was helpful and friendly so no complaints there. Prices were very reasonable, most dishes coming in under ten pounds.
