Fairly typical KFC with take away, sit down and drive through options. They are very generous with their condiments though. The 8 sachets of salt I got for 1 small portion of chips being a typical example. read more

DFC Chicken & Grill

But, I can tell you that the Daman chicken is one of the tastiest pieces of chicken I have ever had, so smoky and juicy and packed with flavor.

I love my chicken and I really love fried chicken too, so I'm always happy to go into a specific…read morechicken takeaway shop for something to eat. This little place is even better because it's also called 'Chicken' so you know exactly what you're getting before you even walk in.....brilliant!! Most of the time I only buy my fried chicken from certain takeaway shops but when I visited this shop I was pleasantly surprised. It's not bad at all and they offer great value meals for those on a tight budget who can't afford to buy expensive lunches. They don't overdo the chicken coating as some places tend to overdo it and therefore the chicken ends up tasting horrible. Also, it's not as greasy as what I expected; which was a pleasant surprise as well. I paid about £2 for a chicken and chips meal and that totally filled me up for most of the day.

I ordered through Hungry House last…read morenight (surprisingly not through the web address www.chicken.com which doesn't even exist let alone do they not own it, idiocy) as I needed something quick to eat as I had been travelling all day. I requested some chicken, fries, ribs, a can of Fanta and a bottle of Coke. The chicken was horrible, it really was sodden with grease, the fries were soggy, the ribs were not made from pork at all (I dread to think what it was, I only ate one), it wasn't Fanta I received it was some cheap imitation called Mirinda and it wasn't Coke either it was Pepsi. It is safe to say NOTHING that I ordered was any good or correct. If you can't supply the exact item that someone has ordered you need to tell them, don't advertise Fanta if you mean Mirinda, i would not have ordered it. If you go to HMV to buy Despicable Me on DVD you don't expect to be given Shrek and told it's almost the same as they are both animated, do you? In bars and restaurants all places need to ask you if you are ok with Pepsi if you ask for Coke, for the full reason that it is not the same product. I don't really expect much when it comes to take away anyway but at the same time i don't think it takes much either to get simple things like an order right. I don't really expect much in the way of food quality either but there is food and then there is bin contents and quite frankly this was bin contents. Finally if you're going to call yourselves Chicken.com, why not obtain the web address that is Chicken.com? This only sums up how stupid the people who run this restaurant must be in the first place. AVOID!

So I knew I had to go here ASAP. So whilst getting my haircut in the city I decided (with help from a friend) to go here and wow was that a great decision. The chicken theme goes throughout with double entendres all around (which is perfect for my humour). I got sat down very quickly and lots of info was given, but not too much that I couldn't remember it but all necessary. Looking at the inside was great with a booze cage near me, lots of windows, and a dimmer lighting which was really cool. Looking at the menu, there was so much to chose from, but I went for the make my own chicken plate which chicken breast (added charge), my choice of sauce (I went Dr Pepper bbq sauce) and fries, but I upgraded to pulled pork fries. Got seen really quickly and served a drink and then whilst editing a video I decided on the above ... and it came out really quickly .. like I was surprised how quick ... and omg it was so delicious. The bbq sauce was perfect, there was lashings of meat on the fries, the chicken was tender and juicy and amazing. I took my time with it and couldn't finish it .. the wait staff were very attentive knowing I might have wanted another drink (I did) and it was just amazing. Will deffo have to go back here many many times.

Great taste and a a bit individual in flavour so its not exactly like the same dish from another takeaway. Just different enough to be exciting and the counter staff are happy to advise and help. My only criticism is that with the cooking talent they clearly have, they could be a bit more adventurousmaybe a white board on the wall with two or three 'limited specials' like won tun soup, Jil Yuen chicken, An Indonesian flavour curry etc I am being very fussy here but really the team are so talented they should 'go for it' They'll pull customers from miles around as they get known.
