Just left there, got the special as a to go order. I live locally and try to support this business…read more My total was $16.31, gave the waitress a $20, usually I would leave the change as my tip...but she hands me $3 and thanks me for my business. I asked for my receipt just make sure I heard her right and it says change $3.69. So instead of making a fuss I left, her tip was the 69 cents she was trying to short change me...

The Gaslight Grill popped up, about a 20 minute drive away with a four-star rating. I looked at the reviews, pics, and menu and decided to give it a try. What a fun little place! The menu is great, offering a huge array of burgers and sandwiches. I had a patty melt, prepared perfectly on grilled rye, with grilled onion, and Swiss cheese which chose to upgrade the side to onion rings. My meal was fantastic! I was shocked and surprised and elated when I took my first bite! I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Others in our party had a basic cheeseburger, reportedly also exceptionally good, alongside an upgrade of sweet potato fries, that were awesome! A hot dog served on a toasted roll with very enticing condiments and freshly fried french fries, that looked absolutely appetizing! Our six-year old enjoyed his mini corn dogs, and my adult son liked his French Dip with upgraded side of chili cheese fries. All the food was really good. The atmosphere was great. An old bar that has been transformed into more of a grill, with great selections of beer and wine; no liquor it seems, which is ok since the food is as good as it is! On to service. The staff all seem to be on the younger side, but they are doing a great job with customer service! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely return. Give 'em a try if you're looking for a good meal (not fancy) in a clean, fun environment!

Park Place in Lakeport quietly delivers one of those salads that reminds you simple, fresh…read moreingredients--done right--never miss. The Greek quinoa salad with chicken is effortlessly composed: crisp greens, briny olives, red onion, tender protein, and a generous snowfall of feta that actually means something. The quinoa adds just enough substance to make it satisfying without weighing it down, and the pepperoncinis on the side? A small but intentional detail that elevates the whole plate. Everything tasted clean, bright, and balanced--no heavy hand, no shortcuts. Just quality ingredients allowed to shine. In a world of overworked, overdressed salads, this one keeps it refined--and that's exactly why it stands out.

The outside patio looked pretty but it was too windy to sit there. The inside ambiance was more diner style (smelled like it as well unfortunately) and did not match the outside appearance. The clam chowder was hearty and full of potatoes and clams. The highly anticipated brunch burger was a disappointment. Upon arrival, the dish already had a smear of aoli on the side of the plate. Too hungry to wonder if the plate was clean (till after the meal ). The egg was perfectly cooked sunny side up. However, the millionaire's bacon was not thick nor had much flavor. The meat of the burger itself was tasteless and overcooked (asked for medium but showed up well done). When one is told to lower dining expectations in lake county you would have thought for sure one can't go wrong with classic burger... apparently not unfortunately.

My partner brought me here for lunch after visiting here a few times. Saw Shop Public House used to…read morebe an actual saw shop. They have used lots of decor in remembrance of the previous business, like the big saw outside and the saw lights. Quaint establishment w/ patio seating, small bar (4 seats), good amount of tables, wooden floors. Greeted immediately with a smile. Menus, utensils and water provided quickly after we sat. Our server shared the special of the day, what wasn't currently available and when asked of his favorite quickly responded with some gems. My partner knew exactly what she wanted - Pineapple Cauliflower Salad22 (Crispy Asian cauliflower, mixed greens, cabbage, carrots, peanuts, crispy rice noodles, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic, pineapple pico, green onions, and edamame with a Basil-lime vinaigrette 1/2 Cauliflower salad). I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The cauliflower looked like orange chicken. This dish is vegan btw. I was torn between the fish and chips and the Jalapeno Bacon burger. The server said it was a favorite earlier so I went with it. (Grilled Short Rib, Brisket, Chuck patty served on a toasted brioche bun with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and onions with our overloaded sauce). Man was this good! The burger was juicy, the thick cuts of bacon and the sauce. Everything complimented one another nicely. They make their ketchup in house throughout the week. You can tell too! It has it's own flavor that outdoes regular ketchup. The fries were crispy, lightly salted and just enough. Service was friendly. We were checked on throughout our meal to ensure the food was good and so were we. They do offer a rewards program we signed up for. This is definitely going to be a go to spot for us. Can't wait to explore the menu!

We came in the evening around sunset and sat outside since we had the pup. This is a great spot for lake views. It's casual and there's a decent amount of outdoor seating. Inside, we only passed in and out but it gave more of a restaurant and bar vibe for the locals. Service was friendly. To eat, I got the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich. It was a good sandwich, basic but had the fixings and the fries were crispy. Companion got the Fish and Chips. Honestly, the quality and taste surpassed both of our expectations. The other items looked fine, typical American fare but a bit pricey for what it's worth. For those looking for a bite or drink with a nice view, I recommend Stowaway Grill only if you're in the area. They have a nice patio and parking outside. Find the off Lakeshore Blvd.

It came with a HUGE side of potato salad that reminded me of my mom's ~ overall deliciousness. Today, I had a delicious eggs Benedict with a generous helping of country potatoes. I'm going to breakfast there tomorrow, too. The owners/waitstaff are lovely, cheerful, and friendly. The cafe is clean, prices are reasonable, AND they filter the chlorine from the drinking water ~ another plus! So far, the food has been above 'average', presents well upon serving, hitting the bells on color, texture, AND taste. Try it; I don't believe you'll have ANY regrets... Next day: Had the Mom's Omelet but requested Monterrey Jack cheese instead of Swiss. AGAIN, got fed a healthy, nutritious breakfast. I'm really impressed with this very welcoming and happy place. Coffee is good and they refilled my thermos with their filtered water, not available next door. I'll probably hit them up for a meal before I head back to Grass Valley tomorrow. Great go-to for a nice meal

Breakfast one morning while in town, the cafe was within walking distance of where we were staying…read moreso we walked. A small old school diner. A busy locals spot, we were not greeted walking in but grabbed a table and someone came over with menus a few minutes later and asked if we wanted coffee. About five or so minutes later another person stopped by our table to take our order. Our food arrived timely enough but was literally dropped off by another person with no interaction. Paper menus were well used. After looking it over I went for the Dads favorite omelet, with applewood smoked chicken sausage, mushrooms and onions, jack and cheddar. Hashbrowns and toast on the side. A big breakfast, it was okay and met my needs that morning but just okay. Not the most friendly folks, no hello walking in and no thanks or good bye going out. It is what it is but it does effect my returning. 3.5 Stars rounded down for the non effort 01201
