You're not a true Louisianan if you don't crave this cuisine. And sometimes other places that offer it make it too pricey or too spicy or too over-done. Not here! 'Boy howdy,' did this spot get it right & sail the flavor boat around the world without stopping!! Quick & friendly service. Lots of options with a la cart goodness. Seasoning that was JUST RIGHT!! Heat and warmth lasted throughout the meal so mine didn't get cold quickly. Sassy (which tastes buttery and salty) or Swamp (think Yum-Yum) sauces are fine selections to dredge the goods. My goodness, I forgot all about the competition across town at first bite. My crawfish claws and tails were SO fresh and tender I could easily crack it or pull out the meat and suck the umami juices. And when sucking the heads, the clear hint of lemon was there, just slap yo' mama already!! As we sat and ate, car after car after car pulled in and this was mid-afternoon, no lunch rush. People have been getting the memo that this Cajun spot is the place to go. Plus, the shrimp are YYYYUGE!!!! Only down side: not enough places to eat. Just the bar. The stools with no backs are hurting the hiney after an hour-long feeding and a thorough cleaning had to be requested as well as some paper towels/napkins at the minimal bar area to sit and chow. May I suggest more open and spaced seating arrangements could be added? T-Johnny's will be my go-to in Natchitoches in the quadruple parish area & it should be yours too--totally worth it!

We literally plan out trips around when this restaurant is open. We love it and have been eating there for many, many, years! The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the ambiance can't be beat anywhere! I live in Amite and my mother lives in Duplessis.

We arrived about 15 minutes before they opened, since we didn't check their hours. There were several folks waiting to get in when we got there. Robert opened the door and told us to come wait inside! We each had the 3 pc filet plate with fries and 2 big delicious hush puppies and the salad bar. I always judge the hush puppies and these were A++. Some of us took advantage of the complimentary ice cream. The food was delicious, piping hot and they didn't scrimp on the portion sizes. I saw a review fussing about price increase, but prices have gone up everywhere. I would rather pay a little more and get good food, than get mediocre food at a cheaper price. My husband and I ate for less than $35, a very fair price for the quality and quantity. If you haven't been here, or if you haven't been lately, do yourself a favor and go have the best fish around.

The peach cobbler has a biscuit like topping as opposed to a pie crust topping and it is delicate and yummy!! The server was so friendly and sweet and we should have asks her name - she did a GREAT job of pointing out things on menu! We live hours away but we will be returning!! You will not leave hungry!!! They didn't have cornbread (a little disappointing), but the hush puppies made a great substitute and soaked everything up perfectly. I also tried the boudin balls, which were flavorful and tasty, though I felt they leaned a little too heavy on the rice and could've used more meat. Still, very enjoyable overall. The staff was friendly and kind. Service was straightforward--no extra chatter or banter, which I do think is something missing from today's dining experience, especially with younger staff. If you leave here hungry, that's on you! I'd definitely come back the next time we're on this side of town.
