If I could give this daycare ZERO stars, I absolutely would. Parents, stay away…read more This place completely changed my view of what a daycare should be. The teachers came across as rude, impatient, and completely lacking the warmth and patience that toddlers need. It felt like they wanted quiet, easy children who wouldn't "bother" them rather than understanding that toddlers are toddlers. The classrooms were also incredibly boring and lacked the kind of engaging, stimulating environment I would expect for young children. But the way they handled my 2-year-old was the final straw. I was told that my child "hit" the teacher. After watching the camera footage myself, that description was extremely misleading. My son tried to climb onto the toy kitchen. The teacher tried to pull him down, he became frustrated, swung his hands in her direction, and then immediately ended up on the floor crying. What did the teacher do? Comfort him? Help him regulate? Redirect him calmly? No. She contacted administration to report the incident. We are talking about a TWO-YEAR-OLD who became frustrated and was crying. If a teacher is so intimidated by normal toddler behavior that her first response is to report the child rather than comfort and redirect him, I seriously question whether she should be working with toddlers. Children this age need adults who understand development and know how to handle big emotions--not adults who seem annoyed by them. The whole experience made me feel that my child was being treated like a miniature adult who was expected to behave perfectly and never be difficult. That is not what I expect from a daycare. I would not trust this daycare with my child again, and based on my experience, I would strongly encourage other parents to look elsewhere.

The teachers are loving, the energy is great, and there is so much room for the kids to play everywhere: the inside play area is the size of the outside play area at our previous daycare, and the outside play area is HUGE (they have a new playground that's like a McDonald's Play Place). The kids eat in a separate cafeteria so they're not eating in their classrooms. There is a bathroom just for the kids with real, kid-sized toilets. The whole area has so much room for your kid to be a kid. Don't let the rest of the strip mall fool you. Hello everyone my name is Sandra and I'm a single mother of 2 beautiful boy's adrian my soon to be 9 year old and skylar who is 3 years old. I have been with Mccorvey family for almost 3 years now and I would like to say I love !! I mean love!! Mccorvey Family Child Care.!! Miss shiela (aka my kids call her she-she ) has been more than a care provider for my boy's.. My almost 9 year old son adrian who always has a helping hand with miss shiela. With school work when he doesn't understand his homework miss shiela is another teacher for him to help him solve problems and work through them with him. My 3 year old skylar has learned so much with miss shiela .. I can say the hard part of being a single parent in my case has been to not have enough time to spend with my boy's to teach them all they need to know .. not saying I don't but when it comes down to working 2 jobs and hardly speding time with you kids it's sad.. why sad because I felt I was missing out on a lot of activities I wanted to do with my kids and learn... but let me tell you finding Mccorvey family child care changed all of that. Mccorvey family child care has been a blessing it feels great to know that when you pick up your children from a care provider they are excited and won't stop talking about all the activities they did or what they learned .. it feels good that your children don't want to leave because they are having so much fun or that they can't wait for the next day to return . When I have missed a day of work I can say it feels good to hear my 3 year old say mom I want to go to (she-she ).. I think this is what every parent wants they want to hear how great their kids day was with their care provider. they want their kids to feel safe . Most of all we want to know that our kids love being with a person they enjoy spending time with and that you can tell on their faces they love the environment and that they are safe. .. At Mccorvey Family Child Care.. Miss shiela has been more than a child care provider for me and my boys. She is a mother, a sister, a friend. Most importantly miss shiela you are our family. We love you miss shiela (she-she ) Thank you for all that you do for me and my boy's.
