Most derms just recommend finasteride and leave it at that. However I showed up with peer reviewed studies on the NIH website that showed that oral dutasteride and oral minoxidil are a lot more effective. She wrote me the prescription I wanted and it regrew a lot of hair on my head. I'm so glad she was willing to read the peer reviewed research papers I brought in. Those medications are not standard for hair loss so this is considered an off label use. It is sad that the medical profession will not update their practices based on peer reviewed papers that have been around for decades. I am thankful for people like Gwen that are willing to look at the research.

When I called that number there were a series of prompts to reach them on line or wait on the phone for a human being. If they have nobody in their office that can handle a question, do you really want to deal with speaking to someone in South Africa? This was the 2nd phone call after the 1st person Terry would not disclose her location. Farming out this kind of personal customer service is foreign to me. Both women I spoke to had a difficult to understand accent. I would never recommend any doctor or doctor's office that cannot be reached. I spent 30 minutes to reach a human being. What a scam Forefront Dermatology is! 0 stars for the rating was not accepted therefore 1 star a minimum of 1 star is the rating that I gave. Kerri S

As a makeup artist, model, and middle-aged woman, I have had a variety of facials and spa treatments in places all over the world. Since this is a Medi spa, I went in with a little bit of trepidation that everyone inside would look very fake, and I would almost feel like an outsider without any fillers or Botox, but that wasn't the case. That was a nice bonus! However, it almost erred on the side of too casual. My aesthetician was wearing a sweatshirt of one of the skin care brands, and with it being a facial, I thought that was just OK, but I think if I was getting a more involved or advanced procedure done, I would find it offputting. When I arrived, they had a bunch of online "paperwork" that they wanted me to fill out, but said I did not have to fill out all of it. I honestly found it a little bit stressful that it wasn't sent in advance, and I worried that my service was cut short by the time I spent filling out the online form. It would have been very lovely to have been offered something to drink during this process. I also felt like my facial/peel was very short, and I did not notice much of a difference. Because it was a cold and snowy day, I would have loved if they would have been offered me a blanket right away when I laid down on the table for my service. She did give me one later in the service, when the moisturizing mask was doing its job. Overall, my complaints are pretty minimal - really more details that would have taken the experience to a higher level. If you'd like an unpretentious medi spa experience, this could be a great place for you! Everyone was very friendly and casual, as well as helpful. And the facility itself was very nice, clean, and professional.

Dates of visit: August 7 + August 14, 2025…read more It never fails that a visit to the dermatologist is always something you schedule months in advance, which is always so odd to me considering that all of my derm appointments tend to be less 30 minutes or less. What is everyone else doing that takes so long!? At any rate, I really appreciated that I could use their text service to make an appointment; I spend a lot of my time in meetings and calls so finding uninterrupted time to make these kinds of requests can be tricky sometimes. Making matters worse was that I was traveling while trying to get an appointment for a spot on my face, making this service wonderful for me. Within seconds I was told that I had a cyst and we not only talked through options for removal, it was done then and there! I had to go back in a week to take out the sutures and that appointment actually took longer than the removal. I also got a call in-between appointments advising the status of the cyst, too, which I appreciated. Really the only issue I had was the intense bruising that occurred on my face that I wasn't warned about--it was so bad I was telling people that I may or may not be in a secret fight club! The nurse at the suture removal appointment seemed surprised by the bruising but didn't speak to it and it wasn't on the post-care sheet I received, either.

My…read moreoriginal doctor has since retired.. so, I went to the site that listed doctors that worked w the brand of implants I have, and Dr Dembny was one listed. Now, I'm not just going to pick the first one on the list. I'm gonna stalk the sh!t out him! Which I did! Bio, awards, glowing reviews, experience.. Sold! Got in for an appointment right after the holidays and I couldn't be more impressed. From the easy to get to location, the friendly staff, and Dr Dembny himself. All appeared to be just what I was looking for. Since this was an unexpected 'event', they were able to help me w finance options as well. (Phew!) Fast forward to surgery day. Was met with the most awesome nurse Jay.. who answered all my ridiculous questions.. took the time to listen and just be his awesome self. I believe there was an Amy on staff- equally nice (but I didn't have a chance to interact w her as much- but she seemed super cool too) The anesthesiologist came in- what a contagious smile!! Love him!! (Even tho I told him to make sure I wake up!! And apologized for the fact I wasn't allowed to wear deodorant ) He was professional and kind. Knocked me out and kept me out for my 3? hour surgery. It was a wonderful, much needed rest. I forget his name, but he was the bomb!! (A competent anesthesiologist is always a good thing..) I believe there was a Jenni on staff too- but I only met her right before getting put under, so my memory is a bit foggy. She was also equally personable. The whole staff was incredible. I highly recommend going here. Dr Dembny is truly amazing. While my surgery is less than 24 hours old- I can already tell he did an outstanding job. He was absolutely professional with all the measurements he took. Never once making me feel uncomfortable. Between first consultation and surgery, I had numerous questions that he and Cathy answered so graciously without making me feel like I was bothering them. Communication was quick and at the ready. Jay called this morning to answer a few more questions and make sure I was feeling ok-LOVE HIM!! (Yeah- I get its his job- but he was just SO nice! Incredible bed side manner! They are lucky to have him on their staff) I will have my follow up appointment in a week and a half or so, and can honestly say, I'm so incredibly thankful for Dr Dembny and his staff for being the relatable professionals they are. They have made this entire process easy. They offer so many other services, that should I be inclined to pursue something else- PSA is hands down the only place I would go. Highly highly recommend!!! Update: Went in for my two week follow up.. Still extremely impressed with the facility and Dr Dembny's bedside manner. They are all truly caring people, and Dr Dembny makes everything easy to understand, answers any questions I may have, and totally puts you at ease. I need to win the lottery, as they offer so many different services that I'd love to try!! Thank you Dr Dembny and your staff for just being you and offering 5 star service!

I trust him and his craft so much so that I drive miles out of my way to see him versus the options in my Third Ward neighborhood. Last year, when Dr. Oosterbaan brought it up during my annual appt, she was fairly understanding and made some good recommendations. Fast forward to this year and my weight came up again and she basically encouraged me to develop an eating disorder if I wanted to lose weight... She suggested I skip breakfast, eat three hard boiled eggs for lunch, and have plain grilled chicken on top of a bed of plain lettuce for dinner. And if I wanted a snack at all during the day to have a cheese stick. She also said that peanut butter and nuts are too caloric, and that I should never eat those. And forget about carbs! She said pasta and bread are a huge no no (even in moderation) and that she never eats carbs. What was I supposed to say? Congratulations on depriving yourself of tasty foods? She was also super abrasive and rude when she said she wouldn't write me a prescription for Ozempic (which, I never asked for one and wasn't planning on asking for it!) She brought it up on her own. I've never left an appointment feeling so horrible about myself, but there's a first time for everything and thanks to Dr. Oosterbaan, that's exactly how I felt. If this is how she treats someone who isn't considered "overweight", I'm scared to imagine how she treats someone who is. Two and a half weeks later and I'm still disgusted by this conversation. I'll find someone else who treats their patients with respect and understanding, which you won't get with her.
