Well used, multi aged playground just off the main street of Mallow. It has swings, slides, roundabouts, rockets, climbing frames, ladders and plenty of space to run about. It's close proximity to the shops, Mallow Town Park, the river, Mallow House and Castle. Our 9, 8 & 5 yr old were kept entertained. The playground is super busy with lots of kids playing and hanging out.
For parents...
positives: there are lots of seats and rubbish bins
negatives: limited parking outside the park on a very busy road and does not have adult exercise equipment the new parks boast of. Most importantly however, there are no toilet facilities.
I took off 2 stars because of the lack of toilets and parking, along with the park being a little more aged than others we have visited. As another reviewer pointed out, the equipment could do with a pressure wash and graffiti cleaned. In saying all this we would stop here again if we needed to stretch our legs and need a break in the car journey.
Edit: found public pay toilets up the hill as you head into the main street. A sign at the playground telling people would be handy. read more
