The mall was air conditioned, clean, 80's modern, and safe with mostly middle range shops. The Food court was easy to find. There were a couple sit down restaurants. We went to the sushi restaurant but the hostess said there was a long wait. We settled on Pizza Hut for my youngest which had a surprisingly long wait. The rest of us ate Chinese "Cajun" food which is similar to what's offered in all US malls. Everyone was fed for about $35. The food was a little greasy but filling. I had to use my Spanish to order everything. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable.

It has every store you can think of from dirt ass cheap to very expensive and upscale. There's TONS of food options, a 4D theater, cheap covid testing, and a huge discount grocery store. I could've easily spent a full day here exploring all the goodies! I'm most impressed with Calcium nails where I got my gel acrylic nails done for $14 USD. I was also amazed by the grocery store. It had clothes, food, shoes, towels, alcohol, literally EVERYTHING. Like a big ole even cheaper Walmart lol. It can be very packed in the mall and a lot of people just walk right into you. I thought that was weird but hey what can ya do? I'm definitely looking forward to going back and exploring the mall even more.

This shopping mall seems to have had better days. There's a bit of an occupancy problem. It's quiet. However, it feels safe. I saw security wandering around, and there aren't any locals hassling the tourists for change. In the near future, the causeway across the lagoon is going to be completed, and the causeway is going to drop off vehicles right in front of this shopping center. It'll be the first thing you see when you drive to Cancun. The future is bright for this shopping mall. The place has a bunch of different vendors and retailers here. You can get out of the sun, enjoy a cup of coffee, dinner at a fancy-ish restaurant (Ruth Chris!) I don't know where you can park, but this mall is easily accessible from the bus.

However, the jewelry selection was much better than any shopping are we experienced, including our hotel (Grand Park Royal). I purchased a cat-eye ring for around $70 for $63. In the USA, it's worth more. The stone is laid in 92.5 sterling silver and fits rather well, not overpowering to the look. I would go back just for the jewlry selection, but nothing more, that is why I gave it a 2-Star (at best).

Talking to other visitors It was evident that most excursions from all vendors were similar. Talked to some regular vacationers and locals and everyone recommended either renting a car n taking yourself to the parks or getting to ferry (we went to isla mujeres) on your own and avoiding being on the 'tours' schedule n taking control of your time. We literally wasted half our vacation getting from rally to rally point where more stuff was being sold wasting precious time listening to 'options' was frustrating but in the end it was my choice to purchase and as a first time visitor learned a lot.

If you are thirsty, they have bottled water. They have tequila samplings, though not all the time. I was there when they had a sampling with a scorpion in the bottle (ummm ... no). They have some small snacks near the cash register. The place has TONS of Corona beer clothing and souvenirs. They probably have a few hundred different Cancun t-shirts. They have caps. They have Sombreros for $17! They have beach covers. They have dresses to include white cotton "confirmation" ones. They have lots of ceramics and hot sauce bundles and vanilla in various sizes. They have souvenir magnets. Pretty much if you can imagine it as a souvenir, they have it. And, prices are much more reasonable than at other shops. Who has $10 t-shirts at La Isla? They do! Additionally, they have 2 benches in front of the store with 2 figurines that are good photo spots!
