Ian was super professional and made me feel really comfortable and relaxed and explained exactly what the treatments I was having entailed ( Aromatherapy Massage & Steam Facial ) After describing my skin type and issues ( oily combination, and a bit spotty! ) and filling out a client consultation form. The massage itself was fantastic. Ian took much care in custom blending amazing essential oils to create a really enjoyable aroma experience to relax me, and help soothe my shoulder pains. His technique was brilliant, and just the right pressure while you lay in a beautiful and comfortable bed of fluffy and warm plush blankets ( No crinkly paper roll like the doctors office! ) On top of feeling super relaxed and mentally at ease, My neck and shoulders now feel absolutely amazing! Then we moved onto the facial. Ian made a customised skin regimen of products just for me, he uses Eve Taylor and Tropics products. Which all feel and smell brilliant. My favourite product used was the Tropics citrus scrub, smelled phenomenal and worked a treat to get rid of the dry flaky skin around my ' T-zone' area. On top of your usual techniques, I was treated to a gorgeous face, neck and shoulder massage, hot towels and steam, and pore cleansing. Ian took great care that I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire time, ensuring I was really getting the most out of my treatment, even massaging me arms, neck and shoulders whilst waiting for my face mask to set. All the products are super light, and not oily or sticky at all. The process left me with a gorgeous glow, and left me feeling pampered stress free and beautiful. I even got compliments the next day at work about my skin! All in all I had a lovely experience! I would definitely ( and already have done ) recommend to anyone, and purchase treatments as gifts in the future as it was such an enjoyable experience! 5/5*!

Going to see Julie for treatments is like going from home…read more Julie's studio is based in the Hampton Lofts building and is a serene enclave in what is, well actually a relatively quiet neighbourhood that is barely 15 minutes walk from the city centre. I've had one or two wax treatments from Julie, who chat's to you like an old friend throughout. Julie also offers an array of other services; massage, including aromatherapy, and facials that include treatments for acne, sensitive skin, anti ageing or something simply to hydrate tired skin. There is also the option of hand and feet care including the obligatory manicures and pedicures although that's not my thing. There are also tanning treatments and products to available, all of which you can discuss with Julie.

They offer a range of treatments and therapies including nails, body therapies, and at £15 for 15 minutes it's the cheapest place to get a new-fangled fish massage that I've ever seen. Fitness classes are offered in Tai Chi and Pilates, Boxing and Circuit, Zumba and similar. I have to admit, these are not the strongest sunbeds I've ever been on but I think if you're a first time tanner or a regular user then this salon would be a good place to build a gradual tan. Before you go in the sunbed, on your left you'll find a range of face cleaning products, hair bobbles (one for the girls) and some goggles. They also sell a range of tanning creams which will prolong your tan so definitely worth asking about these if you pop in. I would recommend the Mystic tan which can be sprayed in a range of shades. This is an automatic spray booth that you step into, is very easy to use and has voice activated instructions. The ladies are always on hand if you have any questions, and explain everything very clearly if you are unsure what to do. The tanning shop is in a great location, behind the back entrance of New Street train station and therefore is right in the city centre. They also have offers available on a regular basis. They always have booking slots available for a time that is convenient to me, and there is a good footfall of customers throughout the time I am there. All in all, if you are looking for a sun kissed look I would pay this shop a visit!

Not my most favourite treatment, mainly due to the pain, but they did the job and I could wear a skirt once more!

Then I had to put on some very attractive paper pants before the lady started to wrap me up using lots of bandages that had been soaked in what can only be described as a clay like substance. They were left on for around 60 minutes whilst I was left to lay on the bed and relax. Afterwards I was measured again and I had lost a combined total of 5 inches from different parts of my body.
