I have been twice, once for the day and once for an overnight stay…read more Ragdale Hall is set off the baten track and is quiet and peaceful - just what you would expect from a spa. On arrival at the spa you are taken to the cafe area served refreshments and asked to complete the paperwork needed during your stay. Then its on to the changing rooms to change into your swimwear and robes (whih are provided). The changing rooms are modern and very clean with plenty of lockers. The pool area is great for relaxing with a jacuzzi and different massage jets, steam room, sauna etc etc. We did a couple of different classes while we were there, aqua aerobics and a pom pom workout both of which were really great fun. The food although healthy was beautiful and was served in a very grand room. You can go back to get more food as many times as you like which is good as it gives you a chance to sample lots of the lovely dishes. We had a couple of treatments there (massage & facial) which were a real treat. The neck shoulder and back massage was fab and just what I needed to de-stress. They use clarins and decleor products and advise you what they are using. Be aware that there are male staff that do the treatments so if you are not comfortable with this, you should advise the staff. There is a lovely quiet room with big comfy sofas and chairs and newspapers, books etc so it's worth grabbing a coffee and heading their for an afternoon chill/nap. The hotel room we stayed in was a spacious triple room with a small lounge area. It was very clean and tidy and nicely decorated and furnished. The beds were very comfortable and we felt right at home. In the morning your breakfast is brought to you in bed which was brilliant. They have a couple of differnet shops within Ragdale Hall which are nice to browse around and you can buy your Clarins/Decleor products from the shop near the treatment room. I can't wait to go back to Ragdale hall. As you would expect, Ragdale Hall is very expensive (especially for the overnight stay) but it is worth signing up with them on their website as you will be sent special offers with some good savings. It is perfect to take your mum/sisters or if you just fancy a girlie, relaxing weekend away.

Having had Vibro suite recommended to me by a friend I decided to check out the spa and am very glad I did. They have a fantastic range of treatments and are able to accommodate you if you want a 30 minute lunch time treat or like me an entire afternoon of relaxation. In an attempt to relax I opted for a "Deep Tissue Massage" and a "Bespoke You Facial" both were 1 hour treatments. The welcome was fantastic and I immediately felt at ease and was offered a range of drinks, the initial massage was carried out very well and actually did work to release some of the tension I felt. This was followed by a 10 minute break where I was allowed to sit relax and offered another drink. The Facial consisted of a 15 minute consultation asking about my skin type and normal routine. This was followed by a full 1 hour facial which I think was done very well. Unlike many other spas I wasn't pressured into buying any products or booking a follow up, the staff were fantastic and both treatments were great value for money. I would definitely recommend Vibro Suite.

I had the two-course dinner, with a fresh carrot ginger soup and local Staffordshire rump of lamb with parsnip and plum. It was flawlessly prepared and delicious. The wine list is strong. I also had an after dinner drink at the bar and had a truly lovely conversation with a young bartender named Marek. Hoar Cross appears to attract a lot of folks for "girls spa getaways," with lots of women clearly revelling in their enjoyable mini vacations. The mood is light and joyful. Sadly, I did not realize that spa access was part of my package, and was unprepared with swimwear, so I cannot speak of the spa amenities. I'd return here in a heartbeat.

Perhaps I would have felt differently if given a room in the back with a view of the gardens. This was our least favorite hotel out of the six we stayed in during a 7-day walking tour.

The staffs were courteous and kindly checked for availability for us. We then were greeted and seated soon after. The service at Fig was great. The tea selections are great. The High Tea set are delicious and quite a lot! I actually enjoyed the scones quite a lot even though I don't like it that much in the States. Quality, Service, and Experience definitely worth more than 22£ per person.

Then I had to put on some very attractive paper pants before the lady started to wrap me up using lots of bandages that had been soaked in what can only be described as a clay like substance. They were left on for around 60 minutes whilst I was left to lay on the bed and relax. Afterwards I was measured again and I had lost a combined total of 5 inches from different parts of my body. I came here to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and we had a private function room booked for about 30 of us. We pre ordered out food and a three course meal with wine on the table was only £20 - awesome! The food was ok - duck terrine to start, roast lamb with Yorkshire pudding and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. For some reason the cheesecake wasn't doing it for me, so I asked for the cheeseboard instead - a good move which went down well with a glass of red. I am sad to say that today was the last time we will be going to Moore hall. I have food allergies, not choices but real medical allergies. My first afternoon tea was handed to me ( I booked about 5 weeks in advance and stated my allergies clearly) it wasn't gluten free. I asked was she sure and she went back to check and apologised for giving me the wrong one. If I had eaten any of it I would have ended up in hospital. One of the sandwiches looked like it had pickle, I asked what was in it, the sandwich was taken away and brought back and told it was fig. I asked for a list of ingredients, the woman told me that I could eat it but I was too nervous to eat something without knowing exactly what was in it. She just wouldn't give me a list of ingredients. In the end the sandwich was just taken off me with nothing to replace it. Not a great start. About an hour in I asked could we have our prosecco....we also waited some time for milk and had to ask for it also. We had no apology for any of this at all. The woman serving us was frosty if I'm honest. I did explain to her that it wasn't just that I didn't like these food items that I had a genuine allergy. We moved into a side room in the bar area and had a bottle of prosecco (£36) we were settled in girls day having a lovely catch up. Barman comes in and says "I'm not going to throw you out, but I need a room for 15 people." It's a public space. We spent a lot of money £120 approx for afternoon tea, evening meal £80 and drinks £100. We will be looking for a new venue for our next get together that will look after us better. Such a shame we've always enjoyed ourselves on previous visits.
