Lunch Sesame chicken
Doug P.

Essentially fast food Asian. Our meals had decent flavor and a reasonable amount of food for the price. I wasn't impressed with the broccoli shrimp. I'll probably try a different protein next time. My wife enjoyed her sesame chicken. In a town devoid of really good Asian p/Chinese restaurants, this is about as good as we've found and will become our go to restaurant. My wife especially like their crab Rangoon, and she's overly picky about that side. They do have limited seating if you want to dine in, but it's nothing special.

Ordered MS7. Chinese Rice Noodles and A5. Malaysia Pancake

Was in the area and was craving noodles. Malaysia Cafe hits the spot! Too bad we currently reside on the west side of town otherwise I would be more of a frequent visitor. Portion size is huge. Picture does not do it justice.

MS3. Char Kway Teow. EXCELLENT flavor, wok kei, tender chicken, beef, and shrimp.

Great authentic Malaysian food. STRONG recommendation for the "Malaysian Pancake" (AKA Roti Canai). The nasi lemak and the char kway teow were excellent! Everyone should try these items if you can visit. I will definitely be visiting here again. It's hard to find Malaysian food in Kansas, and this exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to be back to try more dishes. Great service as well.

I come here religiously and it never disappoints!! Great food! I've never had a bad experience here so it's one of my go tos

malaysian A5. Malaysia Pancake

We ordered the Malaysian pancake (roti canai), nasi lemak, and shrimp sambal. The roti canai was a little burnt on one side but good regardless. The nasi lemak was great, the sambal and chicken curry were good. The shrimp sambal was phenomenal. Overall, it is a very authentic Malaysian restaurant as someone that grew up eating Malaysian food.

Chicken and Salted Fish Fried Rice

As someone who was looking for a bit of home (I'm Chinese American from San Francisco), I decided to try out Malaysia Cafe and their chicken and salted fish fried rice. It's the ultimate comfort for my Cantonese self and I was hopefully curious about their version. Upon entering, the place is very casual and a bit small but was bright and clean. You order first at the register and then choose a place to sit. There are pictures of the menu items on the left wall if you need them. Definitely seems more like a fast food kind of experience. Even though I ordered for dine-in, the meal still came in a non-styrofoam to-go container which was fine since I wasn't going to finish it all at the restaurant. The fried rice was darker than I usually see (more soy sauce?) and saltier but still very tasty. The chicken was thigh meat so that's always a plus for me. The fish seemed nonexistent though with only a subtle hint of that heavenly salted fish flavor. I'm used to the dish having small chunks of the fish that you can visibly see which made me question whether I received the correct dish at first. I still found it difficult to find my fish pieces so the higher price seems unnecessary when I can't find one piece of fish. The dish is usually greasy as Chinese food goes but this version was definitely greasier than usual. I believe this place is a solid 3.5/5 but I am rounding up for now since I really only tried one dish. I'm open to going again to try more but unfortunately, I won't be in town much longer. I'm currently visiting from Kansas City where I can find some of my beloved chicken and salted fish fried rice.

Roti and curry $5.95

Growing up in Malaysia, I am always reminiscing my youth... Needless to say this struck home. While driving through Wichita, I decided to make a stop here. The prices on some of the pictures on Yelp are a little outdated, so I took a couple of pictures of the menu for your convenience. The Roti ( paratha bread) with curry sauce is delicious. Overall great value for and will stop by on my next visit through Wichita.

When I say this food cured my depression, I am so fucking for real. The rice noodles were stir fried perfectly and so flavorful. I almost cried after the first bite, happy tears of course. Food was hot, delicious, and service great too. Will be coming back for more!

Char Keaton Teow

Fast casual Malaysian restaurant in east Wichita. I only ever come here to order the Char Kway Teow. It's a noodle stir fry with beef, shrimp, noodles, bean sprouts and comes with pickled jalapeños. It can be a bit greasy but it's worth it. Always flavorful.

Been going here since I was a kid, and despite it called "Malaysian Cafe," it beats every Chinese restaurant in town.
