The owner was very helpful and scheduled some with Gabriel that afternoon. He took plenty of time to examine my posture and movements to identify where the source of my pain might be, and during the massage talked me through the pain and discomfort, adjusting as needed. I'm still tender today, but my range of movement is back to normal and I'm feeling so much better! The facilities are very nice - clean, calming, relaxing. The alley to their parking is between their brick building and the white Methodist church to the left off of Calhoun. Very easy to get to for a downtown location. I'll definitely be back!

A friend of mine bought me an E gift certificate for a massage at JenSa. The online booking is…read morepretty straightforward although I couldn't quite figure out how to redeem my gift so I text the number on the website and had a speedy response and thorough correspondence. When I showed up for my massage, Jennifer was very friendly and timely. The morning of my massage I did receive a text message with really good instructions on how to find the unit she is located in. The waiting room is decorated beautifully and very peaceful. The text also included a form to fill out prior to the massage and upon arrival Jennifer went over that information as well which was very nice. I injured my neck, clavicle area and back earlier in the summer and she did such a good job that I'm able to turn my neck so much better now. Jennifer was very intuitive about how much pressure was needed which provided a lot of relief afterwards. After having hundreds of massages in my life I highly recommend her and this business! Jennifer has an excellent demeanor and very friendly, and definitely highly skilled at what she does.

Ariel was my Massage Therapist, and she was very welcoming and added to the calm, relaxing setting. I had a 60 minute full body massage. I like firm, deep tissue massages, & Ariel did a great job, especially in the areas I knew the muscles were tight. I felt relaxed for hours after the massage.

As a Charleston native who now lives out of state, I travel "home" to Charleston regularly to visit…read morefamily and friends. This was the first place I tried after looking online for a place to get a quality massage. One session convinced me there was no need to go anywhere else. Now I look forward to booking a massage here on every trip. Four different therapists have provided massages since I started coming to Relax Massage several months ago. The rotation has been due only to my particular schedule and therapist availability. Regardless, every massage has been top-notch. Over the first few visits, one therapist completely eliminated severe shoulder and neck pain and numbness in the hand on that same side that I had been experiencing for several weeks due to inflamed muscles (think charley horse pain) in my shoulder and neck. All therapists are highly trained, professional, and have found and relieved tight spots - some that I didn't know about and some that I did know about and didn't say anything, but the therapists still found them. They ask about pressure at the beginning of the session and check in periodically during the massage. The perfect amount of oil (not a lot!) is applied, and then a warm towel is used to wipe down the skin afterward so you don't leave feeling oily. A bottle of water is offered at the conclusion of the massage. "Relax" in the name of this business is appropriate. Massages are focused and intentional for muscle relaxation. The two-hour massage - and it is a full two hours - allows plenty of time to not feel rushed and instead to truly relax and allow for extra work on problem areas. Body massage session durations ranging from 30 minutes to the aforementioned two hours are available. Couples, four-hands, Shiatsu, prenatal and lymphatic detox options are also available along with trigger point therapy and body scrub services. The facility and rooms are clean with fresh linens placed for each session. The atmosphere is calm, quiet and welcoming. The owner and therapists are friendly and accommodating. Prices are very good considering the quality of service provided. Communication via text (preferred) when scheduling appointments is easy. Online scheduling is also available. Requests for a specific therapist usually can be honored. I highly recommend Relax Massage. Stop scrolling and make an appointment now!
