As a Charleston native who now lives out of state, I travel "home" to Charleston regularly to visit…read morefamily and friends. This was the first place I tried after looking online for a place to get a quality massage. One session convinced me there was no need to go anywhere else. Now I look forward to booking a massage here on every trip. Four different therapists have provided massages since I started coming to Relax Massage several months ago. The rotation has been due only to my particular schedule and therapist availability. Regardless, every massage has been top-notch. Over the first few visits, one therapist completely eliminated severe shoulder and neck pain and numbness in the hand on that same side that I had been experiencing for several weeks due to inflamed muscles (think charley horse pain) in my shoulder and neck. All therapists are highly trained, professional, and have found and relieved tight spots - some that I didn't know about and some that I did know about and didn't say anything, but the therapists still found them. They ask about pressure at the beginning of the session and check in periodically during the massage. The perfect amount of oil (not a lot!) is applied, and then a warm towel is used to wipe down the skin afterward so you don't leave feeling oily. A bottle of water is offered at the conclusion of the massage. "Relax" in the name of this business is appropriate. Massages are focused and intentional for muscle relaxation. The two-hour massage - and it is a full two hours - allows plenty of time to not feel rushed and instead to truly relax and allow for extra work on problem areas. Body massage session durations ranging from 30 minutes to the aforementioned two hours are available. Couples, four-hands, Shiatsu, prenatal and lymphatic detox options are also available along with trigger point therapy and body scrub services. The facility and rooms are clean with fresh linens placed for each session. The atmosphere is calm, quiet and welcoming. The owner and therapists are friendly and accommodating. Prices are very good considering the quality of service provided. Communication via text (preferred) when scheduling appointments is easy. Online scheduling is also available. Requests for a specific therapist usually can be honored. I highly recommend Relax Massage. Stop scrolling and make an appointment now!

From major chains to sketchy Asian places, from high-end resort spas to the massage therapist right out of school, I've had them all. You enter Touch of Tranquility through the rear entrance of Yoga Daily. When Amanda met me at the entrance, my first impression was that she had great energy, an awesome personality, a lot of confidence, and she was super cute! Aside from that, she was very small. Probably not even 5ft tall. But from my past experiences, I've learned that great things come in small packages. And that was definitely the case with Amanda... I like hard pressure on my back and medium pressure everywhere else and I usually get 1.5 to 2.5hr sessions. The day that I saw her, I had a 1.5hr session and from beginning to end, she was very consistent. Her stamina and strength was like no other. To add to that, her technique is just magical. She found a ton of knots within the first 5 minutes and for the most part, worked them all out during the session It's not hard to tell that even at her young age, she is more experienced than most veterans. Maybe it's her physical therapy background and her ridiculously comfy massage table, but whatever it is, she's very talented. Best of all, her prices are very reasonable, especially for being in Mount Pleasant. When I moved to the area, I was worried about being able to find a good massage therapist, but I really lucked out finding her and I am happy to say she's the one! Seriously, as long as I'm in the area, I will never see another massage therapist again! The selfish person in me almost didn't want to write this review because I don't want too many people to know about her and then make it harder for me to book an appointment. But this experience was so amazing that I couldn't keep it to myself. Side note: All of the artwork in the massage room was done by her. And she also has a second business as a paint & sip instructor.

I found out later that they have many Licensed Massage Therapist on their team and it gave them more flexibility than most places. They came to my hotel room and the experience was excellent. They provided us with exceptional service & made our experience one to remember. We opted for the "Heavenly Bliss" package which includes.. a head to toe Sugar Scrub.. then a shower... then a Therapeutic Massage along with an Ayurvedic Head Massage. Then we had some fresh fruit with tea... Oh my... What a treat. Finally a hydra boost facial. Our total time was about 3 1/2 hours of pampering. I had Laura for the Sugar scrub & Massage. She is brilliant at her job. She made me feel so comfortable and she hit all the "right spots". I had Aby (the owner) for my facial. Again an outstanding experience. Earthling Day Spa is a standalone women owned beauty/Spa business which has been operating for 38 years. How have I missed this.. a truly hidden gem. I didn't want a corporate facility & I certainly didn't want a Spa treatment at a local hotel. I wanted a curated independent experience and I definitely got it. They have parking right behind the building so you don't even have to worry about parking. All the staff make you feel so welcome & I will definitely return here. It's ideal for a girls day.. wedding spas..Mother daughter days and so much more. If you are on the fence just do it... you will not regret it.
