OH MY GOODNESS! My massage with Wavy was hands down the best I've ever had... and that's saying something, since I used to get massages monthly and even sought out Thai massages while living in and traveling around Asia! Today's 60 minute Sweedish Massage (with medium pressure) blew every single massage I've ever had out of the water!! Wavy has serious skills! I'm so thankful I found Charleston Thai Massage and booked Wavy. I'll 100% be back! read more

I highly recommend Charleston Thai Massage if you are looking for a deep tissue authentic Thai massage. I am coming off a surgery and she was able to release some muscles that were really affected by the knee surgery. She is very responsive during the massage if you need deeper or lighter pressure. This is the first massage in a long time that was able to work out the knots in my back. I wished I lived in the area so I could receive regular care here. The atmosphere is very calming and the space is welcoming and clean. They have online booking to make an appointment which makes it convenient to work with your schedule read more

After having a few friends relay that they had received massages here and enjoyed their experience, my partner surprised me with a gift certificate. I booked online and had 90 min deep tissue Thai massage with Kate. I arrived a few mins early and was greeted by a friendly guy behind the desk, directed to sit and complete a pre-massage questionnaire, and a few moments later, Kate came and took me through the hallways to find an empty room. The space is cute, but you can tell the building is older because of the creaking floors - it doesn't impact the rest, just making note. Kate looked into a couple of rooms before finding an empty one, which I found strange, as they should have some way of noting which rooms are in use vs. empty, so that's my main suggestion. Kate provided instruction on where to set my personal items, etc and return a few mins later when we were ready to get started. I agreed to allow them to step on me, which was a new experience for me. What I will say is that while Kate was physically on the smaller side, she used everything to dig out any knot she could find - hand, elbows, feet, etc. I have had a few massages over the years and this one hurt the most. I did not tell her to let up because the point of me going was to work them all out. I was left with some redness/bruising in a few areas that got extra attention, but that can be expected. Overall, it was a smooth process from booking until the end. They do offer a slight discount for cash payments, and just FYI: you cannot add tip payments when using a gift card, those must be paid separately. read more

--Great massages at great price-- Charleston Thai Massage has always been my go to for premium-affordable massages for the last 4 years. No matter who you get they are always quality. You can ask for no walking if you don't like high pressure and they also have classic Thai massages that combine Swedish and sports type massages. Great service and amazing staff. New location is stylish with beautiful garden and interior decor I had Wavy and she was 10/10, everyone else I have gotten in the past has also been 10/10; you just need to let them know where to focus and your desired pressure and they always do a fantastic job. read more

Happy, happy was having back problems and I highly recommend this place as I left feeling much better and my therapist Paula worked all the knots out and gave me an exceptional massage. Highly recommend read more

This was my second visit to CTM and both times I had a 90 minutes combination massage with Michael. It really was the best Thai massage I have had outside of Thailand. Michael is very nice and the whole experience is relaxing and professional. I left feeling like I had just worked out and am adding a monthly massage with Michael to my personal care routine! Worth a visit. read more

Paula was a great help to my lower back and neck pain she was very professional and did a wonderful job I recommend her for anyone who works in a job thats stressful and strenuous thanks read more

The massage was a 5. Mona was friendly, gracious, accommodating and professional. I have had many, many massages and no one worked my tight spots as well as she. She was not rushed and actually went beyond an hour. I was loosened up and relaxed after her session. Why only 3 stars? Before the appointment, I called to see if this facility would charge the same price for cash or credit. The gentleman I spoke with said "Yes" same price. I asked again to verify and received affirmation. HE LIED. When I paid by credit card, the price was about $3 more than the quoted $85. He said the price is 3% more for credit charges. He lied again when he told me he gave me the discounted "member price". There is no mention of a member price on the website!! Fortunately, he did refund me $3 after my complaining, But the looseness and relaxed feeling was now gone thanks to this confrontation. He lied to me twice. His disrespect for me hurt, especially since I am about 20 years older than he. I would like to see Mona again, but I refuse to do business with unethical, disrespectful organizations. read more

I've been here a couple times now. The staff is super friendly and really wants to know where I felt pain, how much pressure is good, if I was comfortable and offered free water or Gatorade. The massages were fantastic both times. I had the same masseuse both times. He found my knots and focused on working the muscles in that area. I had a shoulder pain that felt much better ago. I would definitely recommend. read more

Best massage, soothing and relaxing I felt refreshing afterwards, definitely recommend

It's a small place that you could easily pass by and not notice it. I have a few friends that have raved about it so I decided to give them a shot. I booked a couples massage for our 6 year anniversary. I'm so glad I did. The customer service was great. It's an older building, but it was clean and neat. We got Mimi and dada. They are tiny but powerful. I walked in with a lot of lower back pain and left 90 min later a new person. She found knots I didn't even know I had. My husband is pretty hard to please when it comes to massages because we have been spoiled with amazing massages. He loved it!! He was really impressed. I would definitely recommended this place read more

Incredible! Mimi is so strong and intuitive. My first Thai massage. I highly recommend this establishment!

I found CTM on my ClassPass app while visiting Charleston, the reviews were amazing and I'm so happy I booked it was the highlight of my whole trip!! I had been suffering with back pain from moving, driving, sleeping in different mattresses...I mean my body was screaming at me! But Kit took her time and worked out every single knot in my body. I walked out refreshed and feeling renewed. Here's what to expect: Thai massage is not for everyone, it's not your normal flimsy massage these trained masseuses are going deep using their body weight and body to stretch your muscles (think deep tissue meets stretch lab). *do your research* Be prepared to feel a bit uncomfortable but trust me at the end you'll feel like a kneaded pretzel. You have no choice but to let go of all that tension your body is holding. Result: By the end Kit and I had a good laugh and I just wanted to cartwheel out of there. Instead I enjoyed the warm tea she had waiting for me when I left on a rainy afternoon and went home and had an amazing relaxed nap. read more

Great massage. And add a needed stretch. This felt great. I'll definitely be returning within a few weeks.

These guys are great! I had a really bad hamstring injury and could barely walk. I went in and was able to walk out with no pain. These guys really know what they are doing. I will use them any time I need a great massage. read more

We did the couples massage. For $90 for one hour inclusive of tip, it worth it. First off, they had the fire alarm ringing every ten minutes and would not do anything about it. At least offer to change rooms or something. Also, the room was too cold, the therapist didn't understand that my partner was literally cold and did nothing to make her feel warmer. The other therapist was hurting me and I felt worst after the massage. I don't think we will be back anytime soon. It was a waste of money. read more

Excellent Thai massage! I've travelled to Thailand before and this place is the closest I've found in the area to authentic Thai massage. Recommend. read more

Wonderful traditional Thai massage. Lots of stretching; just what I needed after a long workout. Highly recommend!!

I think there was a misunderstanding, I thought I was making an appointment to the Summerville location and that's where I went (to be fair, I wasn't asked where I would be making the appointment). So, my review is about the the Summerville location. It's really clean and peaceful. I got a water and pack of crackers afterward. The location was great. The lady doing my massage was very nice and used the perfect amount of force. Had a great massage and will recommend to others. Apologies about the misunderstanding to the Charleston location owner. read more

A really amazing massage! Panda, Kate, Kimberly did the best job! Would 100% recommend!

What a great place to go for a great massage. The price is unbeatable. If you want a deep tissue massage or something close this is your place. read more

This was the weirdest massage I've ever had. I was not expecting someone to climb on me, lie down on me and walk on me. I went with a friend and we were in the same room. It started off with hot towels but even that was done roughly instead of relaxing. We both had to tell them to lighten up over and over. My massage therapist didn't speak English. I used to say there was no such thing as a bad massage. I was wrong. The massage was yesterday and today I'm in pain - and not the "oh she worked out my knots" kinda pain. I like a deep tissue massage. This was not that. I was uncomfortable almost the entire time. While it was not expensive, it was not worth it. read more

I had a massage from "Rita," her real name is pronounced Cap-O-ten-a, which I had her repeat for me several times. I've never had a thai massage before and it was an intense experience. Don't be afraid to speak up and tell them to go gentler, I did. I was tense and in pain all over with whiplash walking in there. Walking out I truly felt relaxed and encircled in a cushion of light the next couple days. I was her last client of the day so she actually gave me an extra 10+ minutes on her table. They really are the kindest people. Cap-kun-ka, Capotena! I can't wait to go back to Charleston and see them. read more

This massage was INTENSE in the best way. A lot of pressure and you definitely feel everything! Not for the faint of heart, but you feel amazing afterwards and they're so sweet and welcoming. 10/10 :) read more
