Before coming to Madrid, I've made a list of several craft stores to visit and, since I've read a couple of bad reviews from this one, I have decided not to come. But I'm really glad I did, after all. It was my best craft experience in Madrid, so far! If I ever come back to this city, this will be the first place I will try to see. I highly recommend them, even if you are only curious to see how does it works.

They will hand you any yarns you wish, so you can pet them. I don't speak much Spanish, but they were very kind to me. :) I ended up purchasing 2 balls of superwash yarn as a gift for my friend who was dogsitting for me while I was on vacation. It was beautiful, high quality Italian 100% merino yarn. I paid about $6/ball and was able to use my credit card. The woman working there tried to get me to purchase only 1 when I told her it was probably for a scarf. So, there's no pressure at all to buy more...they were trying to get me to buy less! However, it's nice to have extra yarn, especially when you're going back to the States in a few days where they don't sell this brand. I picked this yarn store over other ones because there are no smokers inside. The yarn was clean and in perfect condition. I dinged them a star because their selection wasn't that large and there are a lot of acrylic blends. However, if you're in the area for a while, they have catalogs and you can order more colors/styles of yarn.

Their collection does not seem to be overly large but I actually found that refreshing - it keeps the focus on the good stuff!! :) The shop is super easy to find, too!
