If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. BUYER BEWARE. First, the instructors do not…read moreprovide "one-on-one" service as advertised. Your child will be placed with 1 or 2 other children with the same teacher. The students are all doing separate lesson plans, but there is not undivided attention from the teacher - even though you are paying $45-$50 an hour. This is a one-size-fits all program and is not tailored to your child individually. Whether your child is an auditory learner, hands on learner or otherwise, your kiddo will be working on an i-pad program (I have found plenty of free apps that are more than comparable). THE BIGGEST ISSUE: If you pay in advance, they will put you on a rolling system without your knowledge. Which means, you will be obligated to attend every week on the same time and day (they will not tell you this by the way). If you miss because you were unaware of this policy - it is NOT written in the agreement - then you will lose/forfeit the cost of that class. Sylvan refunded me half of the hours that I paid in advance. I lost almost $400. Please find a more suitable learning experience for your kiddo. This place is over priced and throws your kid in front of a computer. FYI - my kiddo attended the facility in New Braunfels, but Schertz is the managing center. Mindy is the manager / owner of this franchise.

I love how attentive the staff is, the reward system and the fact that my son has gotten his spark back for Math since attending this location. Even when I am worn out from the day, my son's excitement to go inspires me to take him. Love the staff and the progress reports but most of all the service. Highly recommend. Randy is awesome with mastery updates too!

We enrolled our children in Mathnasium expecting quality math instruction and individualized…read moretutoring. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. A significant portion of each session was spent playing games or socializing instead of working on math. While I understand that breaks and engagement activities have their place, I was paying for academic instruction--not extended playtime. My children have plenty of opportunities for recreation outside of tutoring. Another concern was the lack of redirection when my child became distracted. I understand that children can chat or lose focus, but part of a tutor's role is to keep students engaged and on task. Other tutors my child has worked with have been able to redirect him effectively and consistently achieve 45-60 minutes of productive learning. That did not happen here. After seeing little academic progress despite our investment, we decided to withdraw our children. We were disappointed because we had high expectations and hoped for a structured environment that prioritized learning. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location to families looking for focused, results-driven math tutoring
