But after our visit, our then 10th grader, who first would not get out of the car, said that she liked that visit the best. We were also told O school would be a great fit for our child by someone at the Moran Center who was extremely perceptive and experienced and RIGHT! It took us a long time to get there and we had to jump through way too many hoops, but we made it! The entire staff, are all completely committed to their work. The teachers all find a way to connect with the students and truly meet them where they are, through thick and thin. Same is true with the parents. We were new to navigating this journey and I felt like everyone at the O School always had our best interests in mind. Even if a particular decision or situation was hard to hear, in the end, it was always the right one. We can't thank the O School enough for standing beside us, in front of us and behind us, every step of the way. A++++++

I attended the CNA program at their south-side location and just finished the program. I would not…read morerecommend this school to anyone. I would describe it as being stuck in a nightmarish experience. It started badly and progressively got worse. During my course of attendance my class was notified by school administrators that the school was under investigation by the state because their CNA program had failed to meet the required number of program hours and course content as directed by state law. The school was required to provide additional classes of instruction to my class to makeup for their deficiencies and ultimately we were allowed to finish the program albeit several weeks later than expected. These problems caused many hardships for the students but the instructors and administrators were not very sympathetic about this. Ironically they actually blamed us students for their failures and for getting in trouble with the state. If any instructors or administrators are out there reading this, my advice to you would be to accept accountability for your own actions and do not shift the blame onto students whom had no control over your actions. Maybe this is why some of you were treated badly by some students. My next piece of advice would be to do your jobs correctly in the first place and there would not have been any problems. Of course this advice is directed solely to those five-instructors and four-administrators that were part of this problem. You know who you are. We students didn't enroll in and pay for your program to be put through these problems or to sit through each class and be insulted, blamed, and belittled by you! Unfortunately you had the upper hand and we had little choice but to put up with you just to get through the program. Keep in mind that this will cost you in the future because word of mouth gets around and people will think twice about attending your school as they should! I would agree with the other posts on here that are filtered and the others that were previously posted on here but have since been removed. Research on the net by looking the company up before you decide to buy because it may save you alot of trouble in the end. To my fellow classmates that made it through this bad experience....CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES! To Samland personnel....do the right thing and provide the quality education that you should provide or get out of the business. Hope the state keeps a close eye on you for a long time to come because we students seen how slick you became even when you were being watched. Don't think we didn't notice because we did, just not gonna go into any details here. I forsee you getting into trouble again if you continue on with your behavior and don't learn your lessons. To future students....Go elsewhere, but if you don't then know that this school has had many complaints and if you are not getting what you should then you should do something about it immediately. File a complaint and get your money back because it will not get any better.

It's my feeling this course is probably the best bet if you are serious about taking the state exam quickly and passing on your first attempt. The course is entirely worth the price point. I will admit Olivers teaching style and my learning style did not mesh at first. The longer you're in the course, the more you understand his direct and no BS approach. You have a huge amount of information to cover and you have to do it on schedule. Theres no time for off topic questions or hypotheticals. You are there to learn the rules and laws surrounding Illinois Broker licensing, not developing sales techniques, or understanding the operations of a real estate company. My personal thoughts on getting the most out of this course: 1. Listen to every word the instructor says - There is a reason they are explaining things they way they are. 2. My daughter had a 45 minute assessment today to figure out strengths and weaknesses in math to determine the right fit for tutoring at Mathnasium in Evergreen Park. During her assessment, (which most would consider a test) a tutor on duty talked the entire time while seated near my child, held a parent consultation across from my child, stood up and small talked a few feet from my child's desk area LOUDLY, yelled across the room to the same parent exiting, I mean she would not shut up. I found it very distracting from where I was seated and very unprofessional. If a child is taking an assessment, would it be too much to ask for a lowered voice? Move to a quiet corner of the center? Talk softly? Consult the other parent there in another part of the room? Well apparently this was too much to ask. The tutor and the owner, once the other parent left, began to talk about holiday and weekend plans, their upcoming work shifts, how the owner's wife fell down the stairs...etc. all while the tutor is standing over and near my child taking an assessment. How rude! I got up twice. I began to coach myself to calm down. But, I know my child, she is nine years old and doesn't concentrate well when things are going on around her, especially adult small talk, YOU KNOW? LIKE MOST KIDS!!!!. I went over the first time to see how she was doing because this woman talking and talking was getting on my nerves and I was seated several feet away, I figured my kid couldn't possibly be knocking out this test. Wait I'm sorry, assessment. She was stuck on a problem. The second time I went over I was through with this place. The tutor was standing near my child asking about weekend plans. My child was still on the same problem she was on minutes before! Mr O (the owner) told me that he told her if she's stuck on a problem to circle it and keep going, I'm surprised she didn't circle the whole thing! When I asked to reschedule during a more private session with less distractions they both looked puzzled. The owner said "During assessments there is no quiet place this is the environment." Whoa that was my cue. My request was incredulous to them. Ha. Whelp we are out. No apology no effort, no concern. Nothing. No customer service? I personally will not spend over $200 a month here. Mr. O was very pleasant and detailed over the phone but once I got to the location, my impressions slowly faded. Also, I must say Mr O if you read this, the tutor once she found out you were coming, she told the little girl she was tutoring that they needed to move from the way they were seated. She wasn't facing the window and did not see me when I entered nor did she greet me. She was more concerned about why you were coming up there. SMH.
