The consultant took the time to really understand my skin and what I was hoping to achieve, something easy that I could do everyday to add a little brightness. We tried out different things until we found the perfect matches, and along the way, I received some surprisingly helpful skincare guidance as well. I ended up purchasing a good mix of what we used during the consult: new brushes, a moisturizer, sunscreen, and a few staple makeup items. I was apparently in desperate need of some guidance on my skincare routine and what types of makeup products work for Bend's dry climate and I've truly noticed a difference. My skin is less dry, and there's even a bit of a glow that normally comes post facial. But the real highlight came a few days later, when my 13-year-old daughter--the designated "Sephora girl" in our house--asked what I'd been doing differently because "my skin looked really good." We got into a light conversation about the cosmetic industry in general, and found we had much in common. She introduced me to a gentleman from NY who had a new skincare product to introduce, and let me know about some changes I might find in my skin with a more dry environment here. I have always enjoyed a flawless complexion, which in part I credit my heritage, but I also have taken care of my skin and believe your base skincare sets the "foundation" for all else you put on your face and body. Anyway, I walked away with a couple of products that my lovey DH purchased for me. A day later and somewhat confused about what to get for DH female relatives for Xmas- and I had him return and pick up a couple of products.
