My friend's makeup for her wedding was beautiful and in looking through Rita's other work, I was very impressed! Her work was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day look. She starts off with lighter than usual makeup so if you want her to apply more dramatic or darker makeup just let her know. Her motto was it's better to start off lighter so you can add on, rather than darker and have to go backwards. On the day of the wedding, Rita was on time and was very fast! She did a fantastic job and I felt very beautiful! I did not want to look overly made up but still wanted to look good in pictures and she definitely accomplished that. The makeup lasted all day even through my crying. It was a hot day and still the makeup stayed on, but did not feel cakey or heavy. Overall I was extremely happy with Rita. Her services are priced well and she does a great job on makeup! If you want to look beautiful for your wedding day or any special occasion, Rita is the one to call! Jenn is an absolute a gem and AMAZING at her craft! My makeup and hair (especially my hair) was the talk of the night and I loved it so much. One of the things I loved most about Jenn was her patience with me. I am very particular and Jenn executed my vision just how I envisioned. She's a perfectionist herself so I had a lot of faith in her capabilities and boy did she deliver! She transformed me into a stunning bride and I felt so beautiful on my big day. My makeup was not cakey and did not melt off my face, it looked perfect even after 12+ hours of crying, smiling, and dancing. That says a lot about her skill and techniques. Another thing that I loved was the professionalism that her and her team provided. Throughout all the mayhem, the morning of the wedding, Jenn and her team were calm, cool, and collected. They are the kind of team you want on your side when you are freaking out at every little thing. Jenn was comforting and her assistants were just as friendly. My husband knew my struggles so he started asking family and friends around. One day, he went out to play poker with his friends and started talking about the wedding planning. One of his friends mentioned his girlfriend is a MUA and that maybe I could reach out to her for a consultation and quote. Little did I know, that girlfriend of his was Jenn!! I found Adelina through the Knot and reached out to her! Her Instagram has more up-to-date photos/videos. The trial was so fun and easy. Adelina came to my apt in SF and was super respectful of my time and space. During the trial, I was super nervous but Adelina told me to let her know if I am not vibing with things. I asked for the lips to be lighter and boom, she did it! So don't be afraid to test some things with her, she's super open! On the wedding day, she was early (which I love!!) and helped keep the calm energy (even during my conflict with my MIL LOLLL!!) I had the absolute pleasure of working with Alicia for a headshot photo session and I cannot…read morerecommend her highly enough! I am an opera singer who needed hair and makeup done for my headshot session. I wanted a look that would be glamorous, but still felt like me - and Alicia delivered. I asked for an elevated-natural makeup look with my hair in big loose mermaid-y curls, and she nailed it perfectly. The curls she created were absolutely gorgeous and held beautifully throughout the entire shoot. One of my favorite touches was the custom lashes she applied; she had options in multiple colors, which I didn't expect, and recommended I go with dark brown for a more natural, soft look (I'm very fair). They gave my lashes fullness and length but the color kept them soft. It was a thoughtful detail that really nailed my elevated-natural ask. Beyond her incredible talent, Alicia is just a genuinely warm, friendly, and fun person to be around. Getting your hair and makeup done can feel a little nerve-wracking before a big shoot, but she made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The conversation flowed easily and I felt completely at ease the entire time. It's no surprise that my photographer personally recommended her - the two of them are clearly a dream team! My photographs turned out beautifully, and I know Alicia's work played a huge role in that. If you're looking for a makeup artist who truly listens, brings incredible skill, and makes you feel like your best self - look no further! (I'll add a photo once I had an edited copy from the shoot.)
