I am beyond disgusted with their lack of professionalism and commitment to their customers. Now I have to find someone new when everyone is backed up with weddings. Don't waste your time, they'll just book a bigger wedding and cancel yours when it suits their needs. Response to owner: we held a small backyard ceremony amid covid (9/4/21) but our main event was rescheduled for the next year. Your own front desk called to say you and Jackie (who I had booked for both events) rebooked another party and offered me a new person. You can't justify cancelling an appointment since it was with you, and not the individual with mental health issues (who isn't the owner and not responsible). Please don't air out your employees personal information. We had a verbal contract and you as the owner failed, show some responsibility. My review stands, you can keep your guilt-trip.

The stylist quoted me $100 and estimated the service would take an hour and a half. When I returned to pick up my mother, the stylist was still working on her hair and asked for permission to dry her hair, which I granted. However, I was surprised to find that we were charged $170, excluding tip. When I questioned the discrepancy, the stylist explained that the additional cost was for the haircut, dye and drying. My mother, who prefers to avoid confrontation, felt uncomfortable discussing the issue, so we paid the amount. Given my mother's hair care needs, I believe the additional charge was excessive. I am frustrated with the experience and feel that the pricing was not transparent. I intend to file a formal complaint with the Michigan Better Business Bureau and write a letter to the state of Michigan regarding the salon's pricing practices. While I haven't spent time with the other stylists here, it's clear by looking around that they are all happy to be there and enjoy what they're doing. A quick look at their instagram shows all of the continuing education they go through, which is nice to see to ensure that they're up with the latest trends and techniques. I was in and out quick, but did not feel like she rushed her job. Sarah was meticulous in her work and was easy to chat and relax with. I think she could have done more layers, but I understand wanting to play it safe on a first visit with a new client and building from there. The service came out to $60 (with tip) and was less than half what I've paid at other salons around here.
