The first Saturday of every month is the Makers Market at the Green in Cheadle village - we randomly stumbled upon this place last week and have to say it was really nice to have a pop around and see all the different stalls, probably mainly because the weather was so good that it really did feel like spring!
There was a good bunch of food stalls including a bit of Americana (imagine pulled pork and Philly Cheese steaks) cheese, burgers and 'Hot Stuffed' who were there doing their great pasty creations alongside a load of other pie shops.
There were some cool furniture and art stalls which were cool for a browse, while there was also a good band playing classic tunes - really making this a family friendly and chilled out place to enjoy a day out.
I'm only giving it 3 as there was nothing massively exciting to make it stand out from all the other markets around Manchester but I'd definitely pop back if the weather was glorious again. read more
