This place is so much fun, this was my first time but it won't be my last. Before you go here to do your custom shoes make sure you bring your own pair, yes they sell shoes here they are expensive. Check in at the front and they will seat you at the table. The staff here are all amazing super friendly and they will guide you along every step of the way. They have really good time table laid out and they will help you with making your dream custom shoes with every step. I did not know what to expect but the staff takes all the guess work out and offer advice and help with every detail. In the end it's your shoes and your vision they show you all the options and custom details you can add. Just know that some of the extras are not included but they will explain all of that before you start. This workshop is a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend to any sneaker head, they have kids in the class also so this is for any age. In the end I had so much fun the prices that I paid was $150 to build and customize and $80 for a guest to watch and be your support!!! What an experience! My son is into shoes so I got this for him to design his own shoes. We went in and was quickly greeted by DJ. He helped my son through the entire process. We arrived early and was able to browse the store so he could get an ides of the material he'd use on the shoe, the colors of the paint, the laces, etc. We left as soon as the class started. We came back about 6 hours later and was amazed at the designs of everyone in the class. They even had a live vote on Instagram and my son was the winner! Honestly it's a great time and unique experience. HOWEVER, the social pages suggests that students are to freely create/design and that there's more than enough time. WRONG! Instructor could have done a better job in a few areas: * Conveying written TIME STAMPS on each step in the process. Rather than telling the class surprisingly "by now you should be on xyz step" this was the main thing I didn't like in this experience! it was actually really annoying being rushed, when time stamps could have been conveyed in the beginning. * Allowing students to be as creative as they want!! I didn't like when the instructor was trying to tell me his "design recommendations" in correspondence to being rushed. I didn't like being told what materials/colors to put in certain areas when it was MY design, not his. * Painting should come BEFORE placing fabric, not after. This is COMMON craft knowledge. Fabric should be used to cover imperfections of paint lines/corners. they were trying to pressure me into putting the fabric down first and I had to BEG them to let me paint first and they finally let me, and once my shoe was done, they admitted it was better to paint first. * Instructor should be a much more experienced on the sewing machine before sewing the stitches on the entire classes shoes. (In my photos you can see how severely unaligned the stitching is.) I understand the effort but with the cost of the shoe+the class, this should be re-evaluated to be much better. * AVOID RUSHING CLASS PARTICIPANTS I selected grey thread for my stitching, but since the instructor was rushing he chose what was convenient for him. OTHER THAN THAT, THE CLASS WAS A FUN EXPERIENCE!!! I just wish they'd do a better job explaining how the class goes and that MOST of the materials are NOT included PRIOR to the class. For anyone looking to do this class, go with a design in mind and DO NOT hesitate to bring your own materials!! The better materials are costly premium add-ons. This was such a fun thing to do for our Dance team girls and us moms! When staying in Las Vegas, activities not around gambling, drinking and smoking are limited. This activity did all of those. Located inside the mall attached to our hotel. No car or uber needed. You can bring your own shoes. They don't even have to be Nikes. The owner of this store and his other locations, was so nice! He explained every process. Let me watch and video it. I learned he started this business, during the pandemic. Due to being let go in his previous career. Like so many did, during that time. Did I enjoy my experience? Not really. Do I think others will, absolutely. Here's my experience: On the day of our reservation, we showed up prepared to shop and then purchase one of the many blank canvass shoes they had on display for sale. Unfortunately, I learned they had no shoes available for me or my two guests. Really frustrating considering there were many shoes on display. The gentleman who helped us out when we arrived directed us to where we can find shoes last minute, and then assured us that if we arrived late, it wouldn't be a big deal. Well, when we showed up half an hour late, it was. We were well behind everyone else in the room, there were no seats saved for us to work on the shoes and none of the employees were entirely enthused about catching us up. (Which oddly, I think was just rudeness directed in our direction only. Staff seemed willing to help everyone else in the room, which is good for those who visit next). After they pulled a foldable table from the back and scraped together some materials for us to use, the remainder of the experience was rushed. The staff also was consumed with seemingly doing everyone's designing for them (at times even painting for people when they said they wouldn't be doing this). This poor time management in staffs part became evident when they fell backlogged by all the shoes needing sewing, many of which they could not finish in the time allotted. Considering that I wasn't in a rush, I let them take their time and gave them until the following day to finish the sewing. Ultimately, my tips are: - save headache and money, arrive on time/early with your shoes (must be leather) - have some inspiration for a design before you arrive - for a better experience, bring your own fabric. the fabrics they have are limited and you don't want to have to beg someone if they grab it before you do - don't do this before flying home. You may miss your flight. - look out for the staff you get paired with. There were some very enthusiastic staff, and others who couldn't be bothered. - bring your own drinks or be prepared to head downstairs to purchase drinks at one of the restaurants. They do not sell drinks. With all these tips in mind, I still would recommend this experience! It's entirely unique and someone you can be proud of when you're finished. Shout out to DJ, the only one really advocating for us through the experience when his attention wasn't diverted. read more

An amazing place to make custom shoes! If you enjoy being creative or a sneaker head this is a place for you. We came a day before to see if they had any classes available and luckily they got us in for the next day! They have shoes to purchase in store from air forces, dunk lows, Jordan 1 lows and pumas. They also let you come in with your own pair of shoes if you don't want to purchase from them. We came in around 1pm to start our session and it took us about 6 hours but thanks to Jay, he stayed after closing for us to finish! Shoutout to our instructor Jay! It is a great concept and the owner is amazing. However if you do not have an inspiration or idea before you head in it can be a difficult time. Everything you do on your shoe is hand painted or stitched so if you don't have the patience or a great art background don't expect your shoe to turn out like you expect. Our class was very crowded so the staff did not have the time to devote to helping you design your shoe, or give you different tips on what you can do. For younger kids it is very difficult. My son unfortunately now has a $230 pair of shoes ($150 for the class and $80 for the shoe) that he won't ever wear because they turned out so poorly. I would really recommend to watch a lot of their instagram to get ideas on what you want to do and make sure you talk to the staff about an idea or concept before diving in on the shoe. For the lab I wish they would do smaller classes or have more staff available to assist to make the experience better especially for younger kids. read more

It was a OK experience the staff were extremely nice towards the end. They seemed a little, overwhelmed and flustered. The class itself could've been a bit better. Space was cramped, and I thought there was too many people in the class at one time the utensils given to customize the shoes, such as paintbrushes were old, no proper paint caddies they also didn't provide water and towel set up for you to clean your brushes, and between color change, which I thought was strange. Considering the price for the tools needed to custom. My shoes are fairly cheap paint brushes paint tray, a water cup and water. I feel like everyone should've had their station area set up that made the customization process a little more easier. I would've also appreciate if they would've went over the pros of cons of using paint versus fabric And due to so many people being in class we were not able to stitch our shoes ourselves, which would've been super cool. I came with a group of friends and unfortunately again, as I stated since there were so many people they messed up on two of my friends stitching colors and got them confused. They offered to Fix, but the turnaround time just took too long. it would've also been nice to know the additional add-on prices for various items like fatter, shoestrings or shoe tattoo stickers just more information on what to expect what they provide and what additional charges outside of the base price would of been nice I think it's a super cool idea with super cool people And a neat location. I think the execution just could be thought through a little better and maybe do more classes throughout the day with less people. For now I would just suggest you going during the weekdays when things are a little slower and less people on site overall a cool experience something fun to do with friends or with your kids for birthdays or no reason at all to see other locations in other states, but for sure, this is a must do experience. read more

Concept of the class is great but definitely could be improved. The cost of the class is just for the bare minimum, there is a up charge for everything else. I designed a very basic shoe and definitely didn't expect to spend the whole 6hrs to design what I wanted but most of that time was spent waiting on the fabric to be sewn on my shoes. I did purchase a shirt after the class and the one guy who rung me up was being a bit snarky but it's cool cause it's no reason for me to go back. I think a sneaker-head would really enjoy the class a bit more than I did. read more

Had a splendid experience here. I bought the thick laces yesterday for my black air force but didn't realize I needed to drill bigger holes for my air force until after I made the purchase. Since this was going to be a more time consuming project and I was a tourist in a time crunch I felt pretty defeated about getting the customization. However, the Major Waves owner told me to come back the next day morning and he can help me expand the lace holes and fit the laces in. I went the next day but had second thoughts about having thick laces for the black air force, so he suggested the pink ribbons instead, which looked absolutely gorgeous. He also was very quick with getting the customizations done and didn't charge me for his work! Thank you very much, will be revisiting again next time! read more

Great idea! Great service! Get your creativity on your feet!! This is the place to customize sneakers. Plenty of space, inventory, material and instruction to make your new sneakers as cool as you. This place had just opened its 2nd location (1 in LA now 1 in LV) when I visited in March. I had been following them on IG and was super stoked to try it out for my birthday. Beware of sticker shock with this experience. You have to pay $200+ upfront then $100+ (depending on style you pick) upon arrival for the sneakers. But I spent 5+ hours there making my sneakers exactly as I wanted. They have paints of all colors, different materials of all types to sew on your shoes using their industrial machines. I chose color changing rainbow fabric that goes from gray to rainbow when the sun hits it. Soo coool! The lace collection is extensive. They also have leather punch tools if you want an OffWhite look for your laces. This was a super fun experience I'd recommend. Just bring your money and creativity. read more
