For our most recent project, we had another person refinish our entry, powder room, hall and kitchen floors about 6 months ago that did an extremely poor job - uneven stain, waves and gouges sanded into the floor, dull finish and raised wood grain making the floor very rough. Mike Jones Floor Company were quick, efficient and did an outstanding job. They repaired all of the issues left from the previous refinish job. And the process was virtually dustless! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their wood floors refinished and would use again without question.

Building Buddies remodeled one of…read moremy full bathrooms in 2024 (see my previous review for details) and another full bathroom and a half bathroom in 2025, and they did some handyman work for me in 2026. Building Buddies has a Facebook page, so through Facebook Messenger, I contacted the owner Jason to ask for estimates. He soon came to my house to view the proposed work, and he promptly emailed me estimates. Jason himself performed the remodeling of my bathrooms and the handyman work. He communicated about when he would arrive each day, and I thought that his work looked like a high quality. My attached photos show some of his work--tiled floors and installed bathtub, cabinets, toilets, faucets, and light fixture. (A different business installed the countertops and sinks, and I must still finish the painting and a few mirrors.) My husband and I feel very happy with our new bathrooms, and we will definitely consider hiring Building Buddies in the future to remodel our other bathroom, kitchen, and basement. As for the handyman work, Jason efficiently patched ceilings, replaced a window operator, replaced a light fixture, changed outdoor lightbulbs, and hung a bathroom mirror. He finished the work in a normal pace--significantly fewer hours than what a competing handyman company wanted to spend.

We had a great experience with Molyneux. Here is my list of highlights:…read more - Everything happened on time. - They were flexible in scheduling. We appreciated that we were able to set back the dates as we needed to complete a painting project first. - We utilized the financing option and had no issues. It was the perfect solution for our needs. - The installation workers were very friendly and did an excellent job. - Our salesperson, Pat, has been with the company for many years and was also friendly. He helped us make a decision and we did not feel that he was trying to oversell anything. He truly had our best interest in mind and we appreciate that. I have referred Molyneux to friends. When we have more carpeting needs we will be contacting them again for sure.

Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.
