Majestic 10 is like an old and comfortable friend to me. The layout is nice with escalators that go from the door to the snack and ticket areas. I like the variety of snacks you can purchase (all overpriced of course). The slushies/icees are unique to this theater and I recommend giving them a try. I almost always get one when I go instead of snacks. This is a moderately sized theater with a quite a few viewing rooms. The latest and most popular movies are always available. No imax or other special 3D option is available. The floor and seats are usually fairly clean. Majestic 10 is an average and stereotypical movie theater that provides everything you'd look for in such a place. Awesome theater and my definite go to place for all the newest movies. It's a relatively new theater and has some very big auditoriums. The auditoriums are nice because they have a significant slant upward so everyone can see no matter where you sit. The seats are comfortable and recline a little bit which is nice. The screens are very good quality and they're widescreen so it's good for widescreen movies (which is 90% of movies these days). The service is really good and the people are very nice. The concessions are good and they have a god enough selection of candy and such. The layout of the theater is nice a I like how new it is. The seating and screens are fine and dandy, so there you go. HOWEVER- as of late, they have really been slacking on getting their movie times out there- they are never in the seven days (weekly) and they are no longer available through IMDB- maybe it's just me, but that's how i search for my movies- and i go to the movies a lot. It's definitely screwed me over a couple times- in which case i can sometimes race to the essex theater- which actually is a better theater, just more out of the way for me. Also, when there's a big release with a long line, they have it set up like a giant s*$t-show in there. UPDATE - I am so fed up with all the local commercials before the show, and believe me, I'm not the only one. I counted eight commercials last night before the previews. My girlfriend lost her phone here.I realize it was her mistake but they treated her poorly for being a paying customer. They found her phone but would not admit to it at first. Eventually after being pushy she got the phone back. We will never be back. Go to another movie theatre in the area. read more

This is the best theatre in Vermont. Largest screens, stadium seating, and high def sound. Also the only theatre capable of showing 48fps films. read more

I actually now prefer these theatres over Essex. There is more leg room in between rows. Last time I was at the Essex theatres, I felt the person behind me constantly kicking the back of my chair. He was a tall guy, but the rows there just seemed so cramped. read more

I cannot rave more about the staff at this theater! I used to live in Vermont, and my family's tradition was to always go this theater-especially around the holidays. While I currently live in Los Angeles, my family had our Christmas in Vermont, and my (then) boyfriend surprised my family by taking us to the movies as a Christmas gift. The BIGGER surprise, was that he had actually gotten an entire theater to ourselves, where he then proposed to me by playing a film he had made of us on the big screen! EVERYONE who works at this theater, ESPECIALLY Madonna (who made this whole day possible!) made this day incredibly special and amazing! They had secretly been coordinating with my (now!) fiancé for WEEKS, making sure every detail was precisely planned. This already would have made this theater fantastic, but they went ABOVE AND BEYOND and even surprised my fiancé by whisking us away to a private party room after the proposal, where they had set up tons of food, drinks, and several photos of us all around the room! My fiancé had NO idea they were going to do all of this! They even had one of our photos blown up on a poster board so that our family could write well wishes on it!!! They had asked him to send a few photos of us, but he had NO idea they were going to print them all out and do everything else!! I just cannot say enough about the kindness of everyone who helped put this together and make it the most special day of my life. Not to mention the Majestic is a beautiful movie theater! Great leg room! Seats are great! Seems like the biggest theater in vermont. If you get popcorn there is a butter station where you can get as much butter as you want. This is an okay movie theater, been going here for almost 13 years now. The seating is comfortable and the ticket prices are what to expect at a movie theater at today's day an age They will always have the major blockbuster selections available and a good movie that's not as hyped in the media here and there. I think the hot dogs, nachos and pretzels could be of better quality because sometimes it's good to have something aside from candy to go along with that popcorn. read more

3 visits in as many months, and every theater every time has STUNK. I mean, smelly like manure mixed with body odor. Bad, not just a faint odor - overwhelming. The first time we blamed it on people around us and left. The second time we blamed it on winter, and left. This last time it was so bad, we couldn't make it past the previews. I would like to write a review about my terrible experience at the so called 'majestic' 10 movie theater. Me and my friend decided we would have a nice girls night out consisting of shopping, dinner and a movie. All was going well until we arrived at the 'majestic' 10. As I mentioned previously we had been shopping before we went to the theater. When we walked in we proceed to buy our tickets when a bitchy middle aged women marched over to us and claimed that we could not bring our shopping bags in without them searching them. We refused to let them search our bags because that is a total invasion of privacy and seemed very inappropriate. They made us LEAVE the theater because they couldn't search our bags. The staff was very rude and would not let us see the movie and it ruined our night. I would not recommend this theater to anyone and will never be coming back. Very disappointed with the service there your better off going to Essex Cinemas. read more

I am a hearing impaired male who also has a problem walking due to foot drop condition. The foot drop problem makes it quite difficult to go down steps. When watching Sully I had to keep turning my hearing aides up which unfortunately did not help. Upon exiting the theater the down escalator was not working and I to go down what appeared to be three flights of stairs. There were no signs readily available to direct me an elevator. When outside I noticed the curb was not level with the road in front of the theater forcing handicapped individuals to walk a bit of a distance to reach a level curb. In my case I was able to step down using a parked car for support. Unfortunately I do not think I will return to this theater. read more

Not a good experience, popcorn all over the sticky floor. Theatre was very stuffy, put on the AC once in awhile please. And enough with all the commercials, 8-10 minutes before you even get to the movie previews. Next thing you know we'll have commercials within the movies. read more

Dirty and don't care about your experience. The rest rooms are never clean. Other customers can't keep their mouth shut so you end up listening to their dumb comments. Stopped going after a fight broke out because someone that refused to be quiet and management would have rather the police didn't get called. read more

My husband and I went to the Majestic 10 with the intent of seeing Lone Survivor yesterday (1/11/14). We had gotten there early, gotten good seats, and about 10 minutes before the movie was supposed to start, the fire alarm went off and hundreds of people were ushered out into the rain. We waited for 30 minutes, and were then told that there was a mechanical failure, and it could be another 30 minutes before the building was cleared and we were allowed to go back in. We had planned on a movie and then dinner, we didn't have anywhere we had to be, and we don't make it out to Taft's Corner very often (we live almost 2 hours away), so we decided to wait. After an hour, it looked like the fire fighters had mostly cleared out, except for a few. I decided to ask one of the theater workers how things were going. She was very polite and very honest. She said that there was a problem that someone had to come to fix, and they had no idea how much longer it would be. It might not even reopen tonight. So we decided at that point, to have our tickets stamped for a re-admit. But we had also bought 2 large drinks, and 2 boxes of candy, which were still in the theater (we had left them to hold our seat for when we went back in). And could we get that receipt stamped so that we could get what we had already paid for the next time we came in. Now, I don't know if he was the manager, or the owner or what. But he was a JERK. "Well, we don't usually comp. people's concessions. We get fined 10's of thousands of dollars if we don't evacuate the theater in time. They don't care about refunds." ...So what do you do then? Rip off hundreds of paying customers? We will go back to watch the movie WE ALREADY PAID FOR (we didn't get anything for free) but we will not be going back, and I would recommend to anyone else thinking about going to one of this man's theaters, to pass it up. Your money is going into the pocket of a man that doesn't care about you, or that you spend your hard earned money in his place of business. DO NOT GO TO MAJESTIC 10! read more
