I had the tostada de pata, my niece ordered mole poblano, her husband had consomé de pollo, and the kids ordered flautas de pollo and a hamburger. Every dish was delicious. The drinks were great, the coffee was perfect, and the dessert was the cherry on top. If I could, I'd give this place 20 stars. Highly recommended!

So when I came back the second time, which coincidentally ended up being Thursday night football, the staff remembered me, so quickly changed the channel so I could watch football as soon as I walked in. How could I not love that? In addition to the friendly staff, the food was yummy! Juana la Loca is located in the Roma neighborhood, so is walking distance to several restaurants and bars. They have a lot to choose from on their menu, from tacos, soups, to more heartier dishes, like steak, roasted pork, etc. For both days we visited, we tried the chicken soup, a fish covered in a creamy, garlic sauce, carne asada and a BBQ pork leg that came with guac and tortillas, to make tacos. That was the best thing we ate here! Lots of good stuff to choose from. You also get complimentary bread, salsas and endless lime wedges that make everything taste better in Mexico. Plus, there was a full bar. I definitely recommend checking out Juana la Loca for the best customer service, delicious food and in case you need to find a place to watch futbol americano! They got your back here.

We took Beef Tartar for appetizer. It looked like they have it in France except for it was served with hard toasts instead of hot fries. And tasted more like a fish tartar, what I mean is that they marinated the meat with too much of lemon juice and other ingredients that go better for the fish dishes and covered the flavor of the meat here. I'd put more olive oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and an egg yolk, no any lemon at all. Paella with all peeled seafood was delicious. Good amount of shrimps, fish, mussels, clams and even octopus -all fresh and soft. I think they used not Arborio rice, but it looked like Jasmin rice to me. And added roasted bell peppers gave more aromas to the dish. Filet with a Roquefort sauce was tender and mild, delicate flavor, cooked to our liking - rare. It was served with grilled vegetables. They have a lot of traditional Spanish tapas, such as Pulpo a la gallega (octopus), calamari, manchego cheese, jamon, fuet etc. As well as Mediterranean style main courses: pastas, paellas, fish, seafood, poultry and meat. All that we ordered was savory, sapid and yummy. Desserts were on a tray in display. Among rice pudding, Crème Brule, chocolate tart etc - we chose traditional cheese cake. It was very appetizing. Service attentive and well-timed.

Our Internet searching brought us to Bowie, where a splurge on a 7 course tasting menu ran us 490 pesos, or a mere $25. I made a photo collage from the entire menu, but it doesn't even do it justice. Most courses were brought out and presented in a smoky glass being removed from your plate, and the flavor of everything was really good... it wasn't _just_ the presentation. We left feeling full but not stuffed, and I remember enjoying every course. The best presentation was the dessert, where the smores were done tableside with a blowtorch. You really wouldn't think this would be such a fun & enjoyable meal from the looks of the restaurant, so thank you Yelp for helping me find a great meal for a really reasonable price.

I ordered the grilled bone marrow and my friend got the grilled octopus. Amazing presentation on the octopus, served on its own cute little barbecue grill still smoking away. I think it was mole that accompanied the octopus on the plate...whatever it was it was delicious and my favorite thing from Bowie. The bone marrow portion was very generous and came with unlimited tortillas. However, I found it to be just a little too greasy for me. The drinks and ambience were great and service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend and be back for the octopus and drinks.
