Elote Ribs

Found out Maizz now has chilaquiles, OMG. They make then on the spot. Instead of just chips they fry quesadillas, amazing. Fresh queso, crema, and cilantro. I'm giving them a 10/10. (They do take a little bit because they make them from scratch!)

Maizz has good vibes and branding, but the food could be a lot better. We tried their Elote Bowls, expecting the punchy, balanced flavors of a good elote, but off the cob. What we got was a relatively small bowl of unseasoned corn kernels without much of any flavor--other than the crushed chips/Takis/Hot Cheetos on top. I was really hoping this place would be good! Maybe some of the other options might be better?

Not busy on a Tuesday evening. Food made to order (took some time), friendly staff, nice colorful decorations and atmosphere.

Parking available for customers.

Welcoming and vibrant new little spot in RWC. Friendly and helpful service when asking about the menu options. The dishes are prepared right in front of you. Love the touch to add toppings - a variety of peanuts and crushed chips. I went with the Doritos on top of my bowl with the added carne asada. The chipotle mayo adds a kick and really liked the melded flavor of the homemade sauce. Stop by to support this local biz!

ITS CORN! Very yummy! Got the elite bowl, taquitos, and elote cake! Lowkey kind of pricey but everything was delicious so i have no complaints, also the decor of the area was cute and they had nice outdoor seating! Parking lot is small tho FYI, but there's street parking available as well. I'd prob get the taquitos again! Cant remember the exact filling liked the most tho, so just pick ur fav meat or filling! The cake was also pretty good, i like that it came with some condensed milk to pour on top :)

I went back to Maizz recently and had the Papas Elote again. This time the dish was so oily that I felt sick halfway through. Not sure what changed. I think next time I'll try the elote ribs or something lighter.

Picked up a bunch of stuff from Maizz. We got an Elote stick, elote ribs and elote fries. I was really looking forward to good elote but this was light on flavor. It was much more creamy than tangy and spicy. It could have benefited from more lime and tajin. The food took a long time too.

Nice parking lot so you don't have to pay for metered parking. Aesthetically pleasing exterior design that really caught my eye when I drove by. So had to stop and see what this place was all about. Everything is centered around the elote. I had the carne asada elote bowl and found it very filling. There are so many toppings to choose from and the meal came with a side of chips.

Elote Ramen Soup

What a tasty creation! The corn ribs* were so tasty, we devoured the toppings! The ramen was very well served! Will come back for more!

Stopped by to try their elote offerings and ended up really enjoying both items I ordered. I went with the elote cup, keeping it classic with the basic setup. Fresh corn, mayo, cream, cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime. It usually comes with two additional toppings, but I chose to opt out and keep it simple. Even without the extras, the cup had a great balance of creamy, tangy, and savory flavors. The corn was cooked well, not mushy, and each bite had that satisfying mix of cotija and lime that makes a good elote so comforting. I also ordered the elote rib, again sticking to the basic version with just butter and lime. The presentation was fun, and the corn had a nice char that added a smoky depth. The butter and lime combo kept it light but flavorful, letting the natural sweetness of the corn shine through. Service was quick, and everything came out warm and fresh. A solid spot if you're craving elote in different styles. 4 stars.

No sabes pero no hablo mucho español so I'm gonna talk in English . Ok. We liked the restaurants cozy vibe and appreciated the outdoor seating although we didn't sit there because it is nighttime and we get cold.

The corn ribs are mind blowingly amazing! So many flavors! Super appreciated the team's help navigating an allergy (so no chipotle sauce for me) but the spices that were on it were fantastic. Great outdoor area too!

I usually order Pozole, but that dish is only during the winter time. So I ordered a cup of tortilla soup! The chicken was fresh and delicious, and the broth was so good I drank it all. The salsa trio is always my favorite appetizer because of the spicy mango salsa! I finish it every time. I also got the Plátanos cubanos, but I got the toppings on the side so I could enjoy their plantains by themselves. As an appetizer, snack, meal, or dessert, plantains are the best. I ordered a side of rice with my steak tacos too, and I have to say this rice is the most similar to the type my mom makes at home. Not too tomatoey, but perfectly moist and tasty. I opted out of getting a cocktail today, so I got a mocktail. I was craving agua de jamaica, which they didn't directly have, but this "zero proof" cocktail hit the spot ;) As for the steak tacos, the steak was a little too chewy for my liking, but that's because I usually get my steak well done (I know, don't judge). Thank you Milagros for always being the best spot for a comforting meal!

I still haven't tried the pork tacos, but other than that I've had a bunch of different things and never had a bad meal or drink here. The guacamole is sooo good and the yuca fries are seriously addictive. My favorite tacos are the fish ones, especially the Baja fish taco. Also the vibe of this place is just happy It's colorful, fun, loud in a good way, and makes you want to dance when you walk in. I literally took photos of the tablecloths because they were so cute lol. Staff is always friendly and service is fast too. Easy 10/10 for me.

Dine in | Dinner La Corneta, San Carlos…read more From the moment we walked into La Corneta in San Carlos, we were met with warmth, efficiency, and exceptional service. The experience was quick, smooth, and welcoming from start to finish. This was my first meal of the day, and I was hoping for something satisfying -- but I had no idea just how impressed I would be. Our food and beverages were ordered and served promptly. Even when a small mistake occurred, it was corrected immediately, graciously, and with a genuine smile, which speaks volumes about the care and professionalism of this team. Customer Service: 5 stars -- truly beyond expectations Cleanliness: 5 stars -- spotless and well cared for Quantity: 5 stars -- more than generous Quality: 5 stars -- honestly better than many 5-star restaurants my husband and I have tried Price: Very reasonable, especially considering the quantity and outstanding quality A special and heartfelt thank you to David, who I believe is the manager. He was attentive, observant, friendly, and incredibly hands-on -- moving seamlessly from station to station, supporting his team, and leading by example. David is the kind of leader who inspires, not commands. It would genuinely have been an honor to work under his supervision. He goes above and beyond, and it shows brightly in every detail. The fajitas were cooked perfectly, the drinks were delicious, and my husband absolutely loved his mole burrito. What stood out most was how this place made me feel. I didn't feel like just another customer -- I felt at home, and after the day I had, that meant more than words can express. We are already looking forward to our next visit. In a time when many establishments are losing their personal touch, La Corneta is creating real connections -- and that makes all the difference. 13 stars -- for our favorite number as a couple. With sincere gratitude, Thank you, David, and thank you to the entire La Corneta team.

There is a self service salsa bar in the corner - we really liked the creamy green salsa. Had just a slight kick but my 3 and 5 year old both loved it. I got a taco salad which is served in a taco bowl with all the ingredients of a super burrito, minus rice and cheese. It was very good, but the bottom of the shell gets really soggy so you can really just eat the top of the shell where it's still crispy. The rest of the family got super burritos and were very happy - the meat was crispy in some parts and moist/soft in other parts and the ratio of the other ingredients were perfect to complement the protein. Must-try birria spot - I keep coming back for a reason…read more This place is on my list of must-tries for Mexican food, and I've been here countless times at this point. The beef birria tacos are SO good like the flavor, the birria consomme, the sauce, the meat. Everything just hits right. This is a legit hole-in-the-wall kitchen, and that's exactly what makes it special. No frills, just really good food that keeps you coming back. Every time I'm craving birria (which is often), this is where I go. The quality stays consistent every single visit, which is huge. You know exactly what you're getting and it never disappoints. For the price and taste, the value is excellent. You're getting authentic, flavorful birria without paying sit-down restaurant prices. While photos of their SF location suggest some seeing, this OG location is pretty much pickup/delivery only: a fairly literal hole in the wall, located along a random quiet street. Most folks would probably opt to take home or eat at one of the "nearby" parks, but we've gotten in the habit of just eating in the car, which... not so great for something as messy as birria lol. I'll say that for most folks, this would probably easily be more a 4 star spot, while for us, it's more a 2 star since we're unlikely to come back. That's not to say the food was bad: on the contrary, the flavors were quite good, and the consomme was less salty than some of the others we've tried. But their food is HEAVY. Not just the birria itself, but also the burrito we got, and heavier than other places we've been for some reason, with the birria sitting in a pool of oil soon after we picked it up. This probably isn't a deterrent for most people though, so take this as you will. Accessibility: Not too relevant since this is really just a pickup spot, with the pickup window being at the usual height you'd find elsewhere.

The fish and shrimp in the ceviche were super fresh and had a perfect level of tanginess and spiciness. The mango and avocado were great additions. The pulpo salteados was filling and comforting, with the octopus and calamari being tender, and the potatoes being boiled down to be soft. The garlic butter sauce was delicious! The asado mixto, in my opinion, is the best dish to get, since there's a bit of everything on the menu, from beef to pork to chicken to shrimp. Everything was cooked to be tender, and it was a delicious bite to wrap everything in the corn tortillas. The molcajete salsa had a perfect kick of spice. I always enjoy a dish with veggies as well, and the zucchini and peppers were great with the molcajete.
