I'm honestly surprised at the negative reviews regarding the staff. I've never had a problem with any staff here, I mean yeah some of them aren't your super bubbly smiley type of people but I prefer that. They do seem to have a lot of tech issues but they've always been able to resolve. You have to remember these dispensaries are at the mercy of 3rd party systems that probably have shitty code because companies don't like to spend money on good engineering. The point system does seem to be lacking but a lot of the products are always on sale anyway, at least the products I buy (vapes). Overall I think this is a good dispensary that could use a bit of an overhaul with their tech and points systems. read more

Staff in the back are so nice, and the front door person is always kind too. The old woman at the front desk is so rude, demeaning, and bitter for absolutely no reason. Every time I see her she has a horrible attitude and makes you feel as if you shouldn't even be coming in. She stands and stares at you, and when you ask a question she snaps and is condescending. Having her as the first person you talk to before shopping is bad for business, she needs an attitude check or to be let go. read more

Went one time previously, it's closer to work than home. Didn't mind it. Folks were nice, the security guard at the front door was kinda ehhh, but that has nothing to do with the dispensary. My biggest complaint, and the reason I have only gone one time, is the fact that they charge a LOT more for the same products as the other dispensaries. I've been to multiple, I even worked for one, I am well aware of how the pricing works. When you're up-charging patients for medicine, that's shady business in my opinion. A $30 difference for the same tincture? Come on! I could go to a dispensary ~15 minutes from there and get the Orange Cream Soda Moxie tincture they're cracking folks for, at $80 - for $40 ($50 regular price and it was on sale!). I've heard this is a woman run company. And I work for a small, woman led company. Tisk tisk. I was going to give them a second chance yesterday, because they did have a couple things I was interested in on sale. But when browsing the other tabs and noticing the price hikes on anything ingestible, I had to take a hard pass! Hopefully they resolve the pricing issue. MMJ is expensive as it is. Maitri is my current favorite MMJ dispensary. The door person is very friendly and checks your MMJ patient card and ID before giving you the option of stairs or elevator. If it's your first time, the receptionist will ask you to fill out paperwork. It took about 10 minutes between the time I finished the paperwork and was called back. The display looks like a jewelry store in a mall. There are empty containers in glass cases to show you what product is available and the form it comes in. The person helping me read my paperwork, asked questions about my current medications, and was very knowledgeable about the terpene profile I was seeking. All of the medicine is stored in a backroom, so once you decide, you'll wait a few moments for them to grab everything. They double check that the products are the ones you requested before putting them in a stapled paper bag. Maitri is CASH ONLY. There is an ATM on site with a $2.75 surcharge, and you can only withdraw money in multiples of $20. There are cartridge specials on Wednesday and shatter specials on Saturday, so make sure you follow their pages to the latest information. Two last things: 1. Maitri is the only woman-owned dispensary in Pittsburgh. Woot! 2. I really appreciate that Maitri attended the local World AIDs Day Conference in 2019. Everyone from the security guard to front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. The pharmacist sat with me for an hour explaining everything in great detail. I've been a patient at Maitri for the past couple of months and my experiences have, by far, been excellent. I usually don't write reviews unless I feel compelled to, though....last Monday I placed a reservation for 3.5G of Maitri's own strain of bud.... some apple spice kind or something. It was around $60. I got home and opened it up and the jar was completely empty. Like, nothing has ever been in there. I called to say something - I know you're supposed to go to the growers instead of the dispo but because this was a Maitri brand item I wasn't sure what to do. I left a voicemail and never heard back. It's possible they called me but I don't pick up numbers I don't recognize because of the amount of spam I get and no one left a voicemail. I feel kinda ripped off but will probably continue to go here because of how convenient it is and because this is the first time something like this has happened EDIT: I told them about this the next time I had an order to pick up and I was refunded. *Updated Review* In my original review, I had came to Maitri and made a purchase for $60 and it being my first time here the pharmacist showed me how to use my vape pen that I had purchased and how to charge it and she gave me the stapled bag I took it home and opened it and the cartridge that goes in the pen wasn't in the bag and that was $50 of my order, I live 46 minutes away so by the time I got home and realized it they were closed so when I called it was after 7 pm so I left a message I couldn't believe it and they are closed on Sunday's. However, I got a call and a text message from the pharmacist asking me to call her later that night so she could fix the issue, and she apologized that she was so busy showing me how to use everything that she forgot to put the cartridge in the bag and that even though they are not open on Sunday's she can meet me there to give me the product that I paid for a full refund and a 10% discount on my next purchase. I appreciate her fixing this and going out of her way. This really showed me that Maitri and their employees really do care about their customers. read more

Maitri is easily the best MMJ dispensary within the city. Their ordering process is very easy and orders are fulfilled quickly. Although all of the dispensaries have the same basic products, I find that some items cost less at Maitri. From the first moment I walked into the dispensary I felt at home it reminded me of dispensaries back in California. Very open very friendly the products are all out so you can see it feels the opposite of Being claustrophobic. Sean is amazing the team there is amazing obviously throughout the PA MMJ program we all wish the prices Were much much lower but we all know the dispensaries have no choice to change those prices so at the end of the day really top to bottom customer service everything this is the only dispensary I've really been going to lately and I continue to do so.
