The business relocated recently to this new storefront to expand. The interior is decorated in an industrial style with a few repurposed items as decor. The store is immaculate and well organized. They carry seasonal clothes and currently have a nice selection of colorful tops and dresses for women. The high-end men's bathing suits caught my eye and would make great Father's Day presents. The shop is small, but makes the most of its space with displays and wall hangings of fashionable athletic wear. There is a small office with a cutout window that the shop owner, Shelly, can welcome customers. After just a few minutes of shopping, it was clear that Shelly has a real passion and knowledge of her products and the customers she hopes to serve. My wife kept finding items she liked and Shelly was able to tell her whether the brand ran large or small, was able to show other pieces that would coordinate with the piece, and some other products/accessories that might be useful. One of the cool options is that she has a customer list that you can sign up for online to periodically receive gift boxes selected for you based upon the profile you provide. You have the option to select frequency, dollar limits, piece limits, etc. You keep what you like and pay only for those and send the undesired pieces back. You can stop by anytime to meet with Shelly to fine tune your choices. Some folks even do this as a gift option for friends/relatives. I was impressed by the boutique sections & ended up with 1 pair of excellent shorts, 2 dresses, & 4 shorts for a total of $27. What an excellent price! So the money from your purchases, as well as your donations, all go toward a great cause. This new thrift store is so clean and organized. Probably 75% of the store is clothing, shoes and accessories, but they also have a great selection of used books, DVDs, and even cassette tapes and VHS for the old heads. The prices are amazing. One of my kids bought a board game for $2, and the other found a Wii game for $3. There are lots of quality home goods and kitchen stuff, too. Nothing is junky -- you can tell that they are discerning about the items that they choose to display in the store. I visited the store on its second day of being open, and I noticed that it didn't have a sign out front yet. It's still early days for the store, though, so I'm sure they'll put a sign out at some point. In the meantime, just look for the banner that says "grand opening."

SoBro Vintage Market is probably right on that line between what would be considered SoBro and Broad Ripple, though it undeniably carries a SoBro vibe. In case there's any doubt, this is a vintage market. The vibe tends to change here from visit to visit, though I'm not going to say I actually frequent the place because, quite honestly, it's not always particularly wheelchair friendly. Some of this stuff is vintage enough that I don't want to take a chance on breaking it with my chair. You can get art here. You can get music here. You can get clothing here. You can get some furniture here. If you look up this place on social media, you'll see that they actually have "& Curiosities" in their name - that's appropriate because they have quite a bit that I would simply call "curiosities." Prices range from "great deal" to WTF?" It seems like when I've been here, I've always seen quite a bit that falls into mid-century. That's kind of appropriate considering an awful lot of SoBro would fall into that era (including my home - a 1955 California ranch). When they are open, they are known for putting some items outside (which is how I finally stopped - I saw a wonderful retro dining room table that was to die for). People are friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly don't know a lot about the place, other than I find it to be ultra-cool, and I've never stopped by that I didn't see something I'd want (and will sometimes get). If you're into the vintage scene, SoBro Vintage Market is definitely worth a visit. If you have mobility issues or are a wheelchair user, just be aware that sometimes it gets pretty tight inside and you'll want to exercise caution.

They have men's and women's clothes, dishes, craft items, home decor, and furniture. Their selection of furniture is usually very nice and at reasonable prices. If you need help with anything there is always someone around to help you. They also carry glass items for the kitchen as well as plates, dinnerware, utensils. I found all of the dishes for my daughter's wedding here. Stop in and support your community.
