Very glad I ignored that bad review and stopped by for a visit. Amazing store, good selection, great/friendly owner. The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the store is the DVD collection. They have a huge inventory. I'm not a big collector of DVD's so I can't really comment on the prices or selection. However, they have a ton, they are well organized, and I'm sure if you are looking for movies this would be a great place to come. I was really impressed with their collection of Board Games. I've always wanted to try some of the challenging games like The Settlers of Catan (which the store had an entire collection), but have always shied away because of the price (I'd hate to buy a game I know very little about and find out that I don't like them). Next time I'm in the store, I'll ask the owner about them and find out more information. I mainly checked out the store today for their Graphic Novels and Comics. I haven't collected in years and I just wanted to pick up a few good books for their stories. The owner helped me find the Walking Dead comics I wanted and pointed out some books he highly recommended. The store has a wall of "guaranteed" books, in which they'll buy the book back if you don't like them. In addition to that, they offer a buy 10 and get 1 free card. I only glanced quickly at their video games because I was in a hurry and had already spent a good amount of time talking to the owner. I like my games in mint condition with boxes and manuals. Most of the titles seemed to be loose carts (I'm talking about older stuff), so this might not be the best selection for hard-core collectors, but they had a large selection for people just interested in a good game. The best part of the store is the owner. You can always find collectables cheaper online (don't forget online stores don't have overhead like rent), but you come to places like this for the customer service. You can tell Jim loves what he does and is excited to share it with others. There's so much stuff out there to buy that it is really nice to have stores like Jimmyjams for suggestions. Great clean and organized store. I'll be back when I'm in town.

More impressive than the sorted records were the finds that I made in the new arrivals. They did seem to have a good variety of vinyl and with the size of my collection, it gets difficult to find new things to bring home. One downside -- and one that I've seen in many shops -- was in blasting music that didn't exactly appeal to a wide demographic. The clerk seemed to think that he was demonstrating to the clientele how cool he was with his choice of music...I just found it damned annoying. Keep the focus on the customer please.

Fantastic selection of new vinyl on hand, with many "imports" that can be hard to find elsewhere. Tons of used, with great selection of all genres. Seems to have a constant supply of high quality OG pressings coming thru the shop. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable...I would totally recommend this spot for anyone passing thru town.

The books are organized in sections with signs labeling the genres. There is an "antique" aroma, which adds to the cool ambience! It was a sincere nostalgia hit seeing the Yamaha, Sherwood, and Denon stuff that was current in the 80s and 90s, back when High Fidelity magazine still existed and people cared about sound quality (keep on coming back, vinyl!) and it was honestly kind of one of the highlights of my trip. I strongly debated buying a bunch and packing it back with me, but perhaps another time. There is a ton of vinyl here, naturally, and an ok selection of CDs...but, here's the thing with those. Me sliding a CD off your shelf is not worth the $6 - $7 more, per CD, than buying it online, I'm very sorry to say. This was the only store that had a few of the titles on my hit list and I would have bought a few if they were but closer, but 150% of the sales price online is too bitter a pill to swallow for me. Aside from that, this is not quite the only spot in town to get music things, but is definitely the best.

I stayed past 7 pm, which is when the mall closes daily. However, this bookstore closes daily at 8 pm. Awesome! This B&N is at the food court. You can enter the store without going through the mall. I had just finished eating dinner at the food court, so I took the mall entrance. The selection of reduced books and other items is this store's strength. I picked up a Sip by S'well bottle for $10, which is unheard of. One of their bottles that keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for many hours normally goes for $20, at least. I needed one to fill up at the airport and loved the marble design that I got. I gravitated towards the Pusheen section. The plushies were adorable. I had some willpower and did not get any. There are a lot of plushies at this store, from BT21, to Harry Potter. I loved seeing them all. My favourite discovery was the music section. You can still listen to CDs here. I haven't seen that setup in a decade. I loved looking at the records (vinyl) and turntables. I was so happy. This store is huge. It has a full cafe with seating. I enjoyed my time browsing. I had to figure out where to pay. The payment area by the mall was unstaffed. There was an information desk smack in the middle of the store. Nearby was the second payment area. I had the nicest woman at the checkout. She found my name in the system after she got my phone number. If you sign up for a B&N membership, you get 15% off everything. I tend to shop here often that this membership has paid for itself and more. She placed my water bottle in a plastic bag and wished me a nice evening.
