Its selection contains lots of mid-range brands that are perfect for big projects without having to sell your firstborn. The owners are lovely to talk yarn with. While not all encompassing, I love the selection and prices. They are a cash/check only store, so don't expect to use a debit/credit card. I made that mistake the first time. Stop in, take you needles, and knit a while.

HL doesn't use barcodes, they scan what is on the package. Many times you will find different prices on the same product. Also, if there is signage stating a sale they enjoy misleading you by placing it above items making it seem as though everything within that area is good for that sale, even in fact they will claim it is only good for the color red or green or some other bs. Finally, when you get to the registers and you tell them something is on sale, they will argue with you until you get their manager.
