But inside is a spacious and labyrinth like studio, comprising of (I think) 3 tattoo rooms, and several more piercing rooms. You'll more than likely be greeted at reception by a chirpy wee blonde lass (whose name has escaped me for the moment) or one of their numerous, friendly apprentices, and whilst your waiting for your chosen procedure you can peruse their selection of merchandise, ranging from prints by resident tattooist Gillian Turner, hoodies, mugs, and body jewellery. The studios are bright and warm looking, but most importantly sterile and spotless. Strict hygiene procedures are in place, and all clients must complete a mandatory permission form and provide ID. I've been in numerous times now, once to have a piercing changed and, as you can see from the pictures added, be drawn on by the amazingly talented Gillian Turner (add Ink to see her professional fb page) and all the staff have been wonderfully friendly and chatty. I really couldn't imagine going elsewhere to have any body mods done.

Been meaning to write a review of this place for ages…read more Been to GPS on 5 occasions and always had a great experience. Rachel that works there is really cool and has some amazing piercings herself PLUS if you're a cat fan then talk to her as she loves cats too! Had a great conversation with her about all the FIV cats she takes in/looks after, so lovely. Not sure if they still do their out of hours service but it used to be with Debbie who is also super lovely and she has had some crazy shiz done such as temple implants and tongue-splitting (ouch!). The out of hours used to suit me fine because I used to go there just after my work and get Debbie to do all my piercings. It's basically a turn up and wait system so you just come in, take a seat and if you see anyone they'll ask you what you're in for and also help you with prices/jewellery. I never waited longer than 20mins. I think they're open Tues- Sat, 11 - 5pm Great ladies, great clean studio and great service. Definitely recommend this place for all your piercing and jewellery needs. Prices are decent and they have a great choice of jewellery too. A lot of people tend to get to Nirvana when in this area but GPS is just around the corner and should not be forgotten about. P.s. Just found out that Fiona who used to work for Forevemore is piercing here too also. She's also lovely so woo!

Hi After finding out…read moremy regular piercing store had closed down I had to find somewhere new to get my daith pierced. Otherworld isn't too far from my work so when I messaged the store to find out how much piercings were the info they gave me was exactly what I was looking for and then some. They told me how much standard piercings were and what jewellery they had. Gemma also then advised me about a special promotion they run and that is that any standard piercing is £15 if you visit on the last Friday of the month. I was sold and I made my appointment. A week later I went into the store to be greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Filled in my form quickly and then started looking at jewellery. It didn't take me very long to decide but I feel like even if it did the staff would have been patient and offered even more advice or recommendations. The store was spotless and has a minimalist style with comfortable seating which instantly put me at ease. Downstairs in the piercing room was more of the same. Clean and stylish. Equipment was all sterilised and opened in front of me and after some chit chat Gemma started walking me through what she was doing and I knew exactly when the tell tale pinch was coming and that was it. My daith was pierced and I couldn't wait to get home and show it off. I will definitely be back and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a new piercing. Thanks Gemma

I have also had a piercing here and that went well too. Once you get attention though - the staff are really nice.

Lorraine herself has been tattooing for over 16 years, although it wasn't her that pierced me. I know several people who have had tattoos done by her, and although they aren't awe inspiring, they are well done and probably what the person has asked for anyway. I went in to chat about a tattoo once and stood waiting in the reception for about ten minutes, and left without one member of staff coming through to ask me if I needed any help. That really put me off, and I found it incredibly rude. Prices for piercing are average, prices for tattoos depend on what you want but they are quite pricey.

The cost for piercings is pretty average for any other place you might go but as i was getting 3 piercings at once he offered me the cheapest one for free, and said that that was pretty standard for someone getting a few things done at the same time. I was a bit silly that day as had gone along without eating anything, so i was given a handful of chocolates to ensure i didn't pass out! (something to do with blood sugar levels when getting pierced/tattoo'd) Although i said where i wanted the piercings, he drew dots on my ears for me to chose exactly where i wanted it. The aftercare was great too, i was told exactly how to look after them and to pop in if i wanted help changing them over etc. So next came the tattoo!! i was pretty nervous for this, especially as part of it goes across my ribs and the guy at the desk was like ''oooo that's gonna nip a bit''!! (and he's a pretty tough looking guy!) The guy doing my tattoo said the same thing too, but encouraged me to use 'colourful' language if it helped!! It did!! Although i don't think it helped the two girls waiting after me, as desk guy said he could hear me from up stairs. oops. Ive been putting on the cream they gave me 4 times a day since and so far its not even scabbed!! and it looks purty :D will definitely be going back here for my second one!!

Although the staff have gathered an extensive back catalogue if you're looking for inspiration, they are also willing and indeed eager to be creative with your designs. There are a lot of books lining the shelves if you're looking to do something a bit different with your idea. It's an inspirational environment but most importantly, the staff respect you and give you free reign over your design. Tribe isn't merely a tattoo parlour - it's also a piercing studio. I had a few ear piercings done in here and would definitely go back for more. The staff are soothing and made the procedure relatively painless. It was also very reasonably priced and to my knowledge the cost has not rapidly steepened over the years. Tribe 2 Tattoo is a very open, accomodating tattoo studio - none of your sleazy back alley vibe in here.
