Covid-19 review: staff is very friendly and helpful, wears masks. My friend was looking for records from a specific artist and one of the store staff was very friendly in helping to search around the store. I saw hand sanitizer on the counter but not directly accessible to customers, though I think with the nature of the products, it's probably better to not get it on these type of vintage items. The store itself is a large rectangle that has very high ceilings (like 2 stories high), and products are well organized by product type, genre and the alphabetically. They have a expansive selection of different types of vintage music albums and singles--records, LP's, cassette tapes, CDs--as well as some music books , VHS tapes, collectible figurines, and music players. When we went to the counter to make our purchase, the owner mentioned he had opened this store 26 years ago, which is admirable since this is more of a niche interest. If we are in town again we will be back!

A great music store in the heart of Main street. They have a great selection of used music, especially used vinyl. Their selection of newer vinyl is relatively limited, but they always have the latest releases. Found a rare live recording of The Smiths that is a German import here...You can find a lot of great records if you dig. They also have movies (even on VHS for some reason...?), CD's, etc. They even have shirts, local artwork, and some toys and stuff. Lots of good browsing, but I'm only interested in the records. The people working here were exceptionally nice and very knowledgeable. A great stop for any music lover in the area.

Love this place!! I just drew a sixth star on my phone w crayon because five just doesn't do it justice. I'm obviously joking but this really is my favorite place in stroudsburg to hang out and browse! They have an awesome selection of vinyl and CDs as well as an ever changing array of toys and collectibles. They have live bands and local art, but best of all they have an amazing crew! They are helpful, courteous and I've never had a bad experience there. It's progressive yet nostalgic feel make it the epitome of the stroudsburg soul and lifestyle. Go there ... Now! Or whenever you get a chance:) -local guy -Andrew

I want to say, I don't collect records, I collect CDs, this was actually my first record purchase ever so I was nervous and desperate to get it. So I was grateful that when I called the Tuesday before that they informed me of the single copy of the record I wanted that they would have in stock (King James Version, Harvey Danger!). The day of I was late but lucky, as nobody had taken it yet, and when you were in line they had someone who would help find records for you. Yelp is insisting I say something about value, so I will say that this had an extremely fair price. This was a limited run collectors item and I know for a fact that they priced it well within the usual range for it sold throughout the states, even though they are a very small business is a very small town in the middle of PA. Not saying I expect small businesses to price gouge a little, but for this record and on this big record store day, I did expect to pay a premium and I got a very fair price. So these are honest people as well as helpful. Thank you!

I generally go to The Record Exchange in Princeton, NJ or Double Decker Records in Allentown, PA for the selection and pricing. This store is tiny by those standards, but they had some titles that would normally be snatched up in a busier store. For that I was grateful. The owner is eager, but I fear that he might be stretching himself a bit thin carrying a couple of arcade machines, some stereo equipment, a listening station that takes up about 25% of his capacity, books, T-Shirts and cassettes. I wouldn't mess with half of that stuff if I were him. There were alot of records I could never get through because they were literally on the floor and my back doesn't care for that. The guitars and arcade machines have to go. Not enough space. He was having a dollar sale on several boxes of records, but many of them were too banged up to consider. I'd call it a day on 80% of them in his shoes. It's a decent space, but it's definitely out of the way for most folks. Belvidere is farm country, but they are on the main drag with a liquor store, a coffee shop, a CBD store and a bodega all within close proximity. Parking was decent. The prices were a little high, but I can forgive some of that due to his store size and relatively small selection. I found maybe 10 records I wanted at their price points and I got out of there for $120. Try doing that at those other stores I mentioned. One really cool thing is that the actual price tags peel right off the LP jackets without the need for Goo Gone or worrying about ripping the covers. Almost all of them were already in plastic sleeves which really classed up the joint. Keeps the fingerprints off the good ones. Most of actual vinyl I looked at was in fairly good shape. I found a smattering of $5-$7 records to buy so that was good. I would say there were another 5-7 records I would have bought if their prices were maybe $5 cheaper. A used record, unless it's very rare and or in extremely high demand, should never exceed $20 in my opinion. At that point you may as well buy a new one. I got the impression this guy was a rookie retailer, but he was extremely accommodating and even offered coffee to the folks shopping. Not a particularly good idea with the likelihood of one handed spillage high, but it spoke to his humanity. I was impressed. Their logo is very cool and I would have bought a jersey from them, but they didn't have my size. In summation, if you are around Central NJ, give this guy some love. He could use it. I'll definitely be back for sure.

When one shops at them for home decor items, you are truly choosing a special way of creating a home that is all your own. Housed in a restored historic building prior to its present use, the Olde Engine Works began operating as a machine shop that built huge, steam-powered hoists (winches) used mainly for lumbering and quarrying in 1903, located on 3rd Street in Stroudsburg. Since 1993, it's been an indoor antique establishment of nearly 22,000 sq ft with 100 vendors offering the finest selection of collectibles, furniture, and treasures in all of the Poconos, where my partner, his sister, and I came today. Upon entering this spacious, well-maintained, and carefully organized interior as first-timers, it was like stepping into a time machine powered by vintage lamps, antique knick-knacks, and furniture. Some booths were a little tight to walk through, but not bad. There is so much stuff to see one could literally spend several hours in there. We left satisfied with a china cabinet and solid round table. Prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We can recommend this place.

As far as the market itself, be prepared to go through plenty of booths laid out along long aisles. The staff roams around to help and you can also ask for help with locked up items at the front transaction area. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with and helpful. Some booth's are cluttered and could use a lot of organization, but others were nicely laid out. It took an hour and a half to snake around the entire building. There was a mix of: memorabilia, nostalgic stuff, lots of glass sets and dishware sets, jewelry, books, magazines, records, CD's, videos, console video games, some sports collectibles and seasonal items. I could go on and on. I found an old Matchbox truck I had been looking for that was cheaper than Ebay prices and a couple old Sega games for my Genesis console that were in working condition. The wife was loving some of the old jewelry, but passed. I was surprised at the asking price for certain things I thought of as "junk" back when I was younger ..... but then I'm reminded of the saying - things are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. I thought it was a fun time to chat with the wife, literally walk down memory lane and pass some time before we went into town to grab some lunch.
