A sugary gem in the heartland. A wonderful place to come for donuts and lunch. They have an eclectic menu of pork tenderloin, cheeseburger, gyro, and more. All of it very well made. Once you are done, there is nothing better than having one of their made from scratch donuts. The staff is very friendly. The place is very clean. The owner is hands on. She came out to greet some regulars, stopped by and asked if this was our first time and started chatting with us. One recommendation she had was to come early if we wanted donuts. She was right. While we were eating our meal, customers kept coming in and the donut case just kept getting emptier and emptier. This is a gem worth a quick detour to try. read more

Yes, the donuts and food are wonderful, but the best part is the people. We were in town on business and spent every morning there for breakfast because it was so good. Between Oskie and Ottumwa, the best donuts. No others compare. I mean it. As for "food" food, it's pretty good. On Fridays, they serve up some Filipino food from the owner's island nation home. Other days they got some ok sandwiches. read more

A very nice addition in an otherwise dreary part of Main street. I was surprised at how big and clean it was on the inside and packed with plenty of customers. I had a nice large tenderloin sandwich and some biscuits and gravy. I will definitely return for more visits. read more
