Best dental group ever!!!…read more When I was searching for a dentist I searched the internet pretty thoroughly. I noticed all the five star reviews for Avalon Dental! Well, Avalon lives up to their reputation. In fact they are the best dental group I ever used!!! From receptionist, to hygienist, to the dentist - they were perfect in a way that I've never encountered. I was there for teeth cleaning and I was treated as if I was a family member; and they treated my teeth like they would want their own teeth treated. They were very upbeat and transparent about pricing. I left with a great feeling and a feeling that my teeth were the cleanest they've been in a long time! I highly recommend Avalon Dental to anyone who wants the same great treatment!

I believe it was last year I did a consultation that I had to pay for. They the ghosted me and wouldn't be straight forward. The doctor reached out to me personally and apologized and told me to give them another chance. So in June of this year I went back and had to pay the consultation fee AGAIN. Its now been two months of chasing them and now they want to send me a quote for double what I was told. Thats it, im done. Do not go to these people. They are an absolute joke.

Let us suffer and wish to chew on rocks to destroy the ugly lazy work you created that doesn't even let a person smile the same anymore as I said you are selfish monsters that hide behind good manners like any other monster typically does to torture people.so thanks for your torturing I will not ever forget it also tell dusty people have lives she's not a judge or prison guard she's a damn pencil pusher and nothing else.

As I drove to Delaware to be with her, my wife searched for a local dentist. Thankfully she found White Clay. The entire staff was extremely caring, understanding, and concerned. They treated my daughter as their own. Dr. Ganfield has gone above and beyond in his care for my daughter, creating prosthesis when needed, and devising ingenious methods of treatment. His gentle, reassuring manner went a long way towards keeping our family sane during this crisis. The group goes out of their way to ensure that our daughter can get timely appointments that work with her schedule, and she doesn't spend much time in the waiting room. I wish I had such a dental group located near me, because I've never encountered a finer one. If you are looking for dental care in or around the Newark area, you can do no better than White Clay.

Overall 3.5 rounded up…read more Interior: definitely has a spa like feel. Inside is spacious, they have a waterfall wall thing, and plenty of seating. Wait: the wait is usually ~30 minutes plus. It's odd that they make you sit and wait after the cleaning/fillings on check out. Perhaps it's extra busy? I'm not sure because they have 2 billing people working at the same time. Service: this is where this place really shines. Lauren Murphy (hygienist) and Dr. Young are excellent. Very transparent with their practice, establishes great rapport, and super efficient. No time wasted. Thorough cleaning, scaling, floss took 30 minutes. 3 cavity fillings took 30 minutes. 5 stars for these two staff. Structure: this is where it's knocked down 1.5 stars. The very first visit is an ASSESSMENT visit only. The hygienist takes numerous x rays, evaluates your teeth, and the dentist pops in to look at the radiology scans. I'll be honest - it's difficult to find time for myself let alone a dental appointment. I think it'd be reasonable to do a cleaning on the same visit as well. Perhaps it's for billing/reimbursements? I'm not sure, but booking ANOTHER appointment few weeks later to actually get work done is VERY inconvenient and really knocks this place down 2 stars. Overall: would've given this place 3/5 for inconvenience, but Lauren and Dr Young make up for it. Will definitely continue sticking with them.

It has been some time since this experience, but I told myself I would write a review after a…read morenumber of months had passed, and I cooled down a bit. Honestly, as I write this, it is not very fun to recall, but I hope the Doctor will read this, and this will help future patients. Type of Care: Adult wisdom teeth removal Care Quality: To be absolutely clear, the doctor was excellent. The work he did was done very well, and there were no complications after the procedure. He was awesome and a great personality. Office Experience: #1 - walked in for the appointment, and they said we had canceled it. We never canceled it. People don't prep and show up on time for wisdom teeth removal appointments if they've canceled them. Their office staff had, from what we could decipher, been the ones who erroneously canceled the appointment on the same date and time that they had called us weeks earlier SOLELY for the purpose of telling us how much our out-of-pocket would be. There was no discussion whatsoever during the call about whether or not we were proceeding with the appointment. We were proceeding with it. The doctor, being a professional, thankfully managed to keep the appointment as scheduled. No problems there. Thank goodness, because who wants to prep and come back again to have their wisdom teeth removed?! Again, this doctor is very good! That leads to #2 - during that call weeks earlier, again the sole purpose of said call from them to us was to relay our out-of-pocket cost, the lady said the cost to us would be $50. $50. 5-0. We made them repeat that numerous times, and the lady said, "yes, great deal isn't it? Your insurance must be good! We'll see you on your appt date...Us: yes, we'll be there." Soon after the procedure, we got a bill for well over $1,000 out of pocket! After a lot of back-and-forth with the office and our insurance company, the cost came down to $900. In the end, this was the correct cost to us based on the way the office coded the procedure (coding...very impt factor - please take note) and what our insurance policy would cover. The office staff would not concede any miscommunication or misinformation on their part. It was both shocking and disheartening to be treated the way we were. So, just beware. Most important moral of this story is make sure you, as the patient, do ALL the research on how much your procedure might cost you out of pocket, because unfortunately, the office staff failed in that regard. You can't rely on their word. They do not know. They don't have any idea how the procedure might get coded, medically, in advance of it, and maybe the doctor and the nurses can't even predict that -- and that is what the office staff should have told us, but didn't. They should have been honest about what they knew and what they didn't, but they weren't. Their actions unnecessarily led to a lot of heartache, headache, and financial surprise.

I would NOT recommended this place to anyone. Unless you love poor customer mixed with talking back employees who can verbally tell you anything.
