Another business that definitely lived up to Yelpers' standards! Great coffee! I ordered a large cappuccino with 3 shots of espresso and hubby got the large vanilla latte (also with 3 shots of espresso). I'm pretty sure this caffeine chug will last us the rest of the way back to Houston! Lovely ambiance: very quaint and homey. Very nice lady barista. There's nothing I can possibly pick on. I would always rather support a local coffee shop rather than Starbucks any day but this place needs some help. It feels like my hoarder aunt Martha is running this place. It's such a cluttered mess inside. It could be such a cool spot being on Main Street but it feels so overloaded with unnecessary things for sale. It feels uninviting and messy. On another note, I ordered a latte and she put a pre-made gallon of coffee on the counter and I said "is that espresso?" And she said "it's cold brew". And I said that I'd like espresso and she looked at me like I was the insane one. A coffee shop with a decent espresso machine behind the counter should know what consists of a basic latte and know that there is a definite difference between asking for cold brew and a latte. I know I'm on a huge coffee high horse but I just want better for Ardmore and would be really happy to see this place step it up and be a fantastic coffee shop and not my aunt's hoarder boutique on the side. read more

From the moment you walk in, you feel at home. We were warmly greeted and waited on by the young lady behind the counter. She had some recommendations and was happy to custom make our drinks. This is by far one of the best places we have visited for iced coffee and lattes. My Coconut Mocha Ice latte was strong, smooth and life changing. In the top 10 of best iced lattes in my life. This coffee shop has got to be one of the cutest local places I've ever seen. I had a bacon, chive and cheese scone that was sooooo good!!!! They also had fresh muffins and delicious coffee. This is the type of place that sells out of its baked goods by noon...no joke! There was a buzz in this place as conversation and fall smells filled the air! I love supporting independent, local coffee shops... but the choice to do so this time around was not a great decision. Pastries: We seriously should have walked out when we were told, "the pastries are frozen... you can either warm them up in the microwave or wait ten minutes for them to thaw out..." After warming up the pastries in the microwave, the taste was not very good - leaving the faintest hint of freezer in the mouth. Drinks: We ordered a lattè and hot chocolate. Both drinks were below average in taste. I love foam on my lattè, however, because the barista made the milk scream (just stuck the wand in the milk) instead of sing (aerate the milk before setting the wand at the bottom of the steaming pitcher...)... I had no foam. The hot chocolate only included one pump of chocolate in a 12oz cup. As you can imagine - there was nothing chocolate... it was just hot. Coffee: the coffee is the only reason this place receives 2 stars instead of 1. Ambiance: Well. Be warned. There is a kid play area. Overall... I think this place would be great for a particular niche of coffee drinkers (e.g. - Stay at home Mom's, babysitters, etc.), but not for the "traditional" cafè goer. read more

3.5 stars for this one. The pros: I had a very smooth iced Americano, prompt service, and the location is a cute downtown space. In the past, I've had blended drinks that were also delicious. The space was clean and the music was tasteful. I also got a coffee and muffin for under $5. The cons: This place is not the best for working at times and can a little noisy, the hours are a little odd, and my muffin came out of a freezer? I thought that was a little odd, and the temperature made my muffin a little crumbly and tough on the outside. It was yummy otherwise! If you're looking to avoid Starbucks, or are looking for a less busy location, this shop is a good option. While there is still traffic flow and noise, there is much less of it here. read more

I've been in Ardmore a lot more recently and was feeling rather down that there weren't any locally owned coffee shops around. There were plenty of cafe's that served coffee, but no actual coffee shops. And then one day, I saw it. I saw the beautiful writing on the wall that said, "Main Street Coffee," and my heart just about exploded with joy. Local small business coffee shop? SCORE. Local small business coffee shop that offers soy iced chai latte's? I can't think of a work better than "score" at the moment, but that's what it was. Better. The inside of the shop definitely needs more. More decoration, more furniture/couches, more tables and chairs, more plugs, and faster wifi. The decor they do have was cute though, and the newspapers and magazines were a nice touch. The barista kind of....didn't give a crap. I walked in and up to the counter, and she never really came over from her little corner of the building until I directly asked her if they served soy. (They do.) She took my order, made my drink, then returned to her corner. Not really sure what's with her and that corner, but yeah. Customer service was definitely lacking in that one. Overall though, 4 stars because, hello. Locally owned coffee shops for the win. Just get some more furniture and train your employees a little better and you'll be good! read more

A little bit off of 35, if you're traveling, but worth the detour. I'm very expecting when it comes to a coffee shop coffee as to what I want the taste to be and how bold it is. This coffee was spot on. I'm an americano drinker. I know it's just espresso and hot water, but it's still seems a challenge to find a good one. I love coffee and my husband loves chai. So, we went there and ordered a cafè latte and chai latte and both are not as I expected . My sister said it was good when the skinny lady makes it. Well, I am not prejudice but the lady was not skinny and she did not made both of my husband drinks well. My husband said the drink is not bad but it has a plastic after taste. Also, both drinks are not very well steamed and not creamy. One word to describe the drinks "BLAND". I say for coffee latte, you are better off going to Mc Donald. I am giving this place a two star not a one star because I support local business. They should train their people to make coffee/tea decent. I am so disappointed, hope things improves when I come back here again for a visit read more

Went by on Sunday 12:45pm to get a decent coffee while driving (came the 3 miles off I-35). they are closed! Be warned you better call first! Oh wait.. not only are hours wrong, the phone number is a fax line. This business needs to take care of their Yelp presence. Try the Main Street Extreme!! I order it frozen. Starbucks has nothing this yummy in my opinion. The prices are a bit cheaper than Starbucks also. You may have to park a bit away during busy times. It would be amazing if their location could have a drive through. The staff is friendly. read more

Decent coffee shop. The staff is always friendly, and the store is conveniently located in downtown Ardmore. The Crimpson cup coffee line they sell is some really good coffee, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and like it when the barista fixing my coffee knows more about it than I do. I like to know where it's from and where it's roasted, that kind of thing. But it's a decent place for a nice cup of coffee before work. read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to see so many people in here despite the almost deserted main street of this small town. This place is a good escape from the chains that dominate the area and is independently owned. The building is super old with amazing detailed moulding high ceilings. Whenever I am in Ardmore visiting my parents I have to walk over here for a cup of coffee. I live in Seattle, so I am all about local coffee shops, and its so nice to find such a cute place, with great coffee in Ardmore. I am usually boring and get a latte or tea, but at Main Street I always get the Main Street Mocha, which is delicious. I love to see businesses thriving in downtown Ardmore too. My boyfriend is a silly Seattlite and only likes Starbucks, but even he likes this place. read more

I was looking for an alternative to Starbucks. I like the downtown location, but an employee decided a coffee shop, where people go to chill, was a good place to have a baby hang out. Very tasty coffee. We had Main Street on Saturday and Starbucks on Sunday. Main Street's coffee was smoother and more flavorful. This is my favorite place in Ardmore. I live on the west side of town and drive by that other coffee place to go here. The owner Pam and her daughter are the best. I always enjoy the conversations with all the locals. Just a great place to sit and visit or just chill and read the paper. read more
