Upon walking in I immediately loved the decor and overall ambiance of the place. The baristas were very friendly and gave some solid recommendations. We got the Flapjack and Buckeye drinks and they were so yummy. We also got the chia pudding which tasted like banana bread. They also have pre-order sour dough loaves with specialty flavors so we put in an order to grab one on our way out the following morning!! Very good place and would come again any time I'm in Newark.

I let her know I wasn't planning on purchasing anything but was curious if I could try the Electric Blue. It was FANTASTIC!! I bought one and immediately came home and recommended it to my family. No caffeinated drinks other than their matcha but if you're looking for fresh pressed juice or working some Reishi into your diet this place is it!!

I'd always assumed Pulp was just another Smoothie King, but Pulp is a lot like Tropical Smoothie Cafe, in that they offer wraps (a pleasant surprise on this first stop); however, and a slight bummer, Pulp only offers cold wraps. I ordered their Avocado Turkey Wrap on a spinach tortilla with extra turkey meat and a Smooth Avocado smoothie. The wrap was great - no frills or new-age ingredient twists, just basic, solid toppings that are health conscious. I'll add that the lady working the counter was very polite. I was taking longer than usual to read the menu/ingredients, and she never rushed me or seemed impatient to wait.

Plenty of parking out front and this location is easy to find. I was greeted by two amazing people who welcomed me and gave me a quick tour through my options. They have a long bar like table with seating in view of the menu elegantly written on a board. Pick a tea that is then mixed with Aloe. I chose the lemon tea and it was certainly refreshing and light. While I sipped on that over ice I debated on which shake I wanted. After pouring over the abundance of viable options, I chose the Almond Joy. Chocolate shake with bits of fresh coconut and Almonds! OMG! What did I just have! It tasted sinful even tho the fat, calorie and sugar content was low but high in protein. Go New Life Nutrition! I was able to get a solid meal replacement lunch while running errands instead of picking up something fast that I would regret later. I noticed they used Herbalife shakes. They do sell them if making the shakes at home appeases you. Either way, I am in love with this place and recommend it to anyone looking to grab a healthy snack or meal.

I have been a pulp lover for years. I am allergic to dairy so I have always removed or swapped out…read moreany dairy ingredients with little to no issue. In this most recent online order I (as instructed) placed my allergy restrictions and modification in the special instructions area because I was informed that allergy substitutions are not add-ins, so there is no additional charge. For my specific order I removed the Bananas and substituted blueberries for orange sherbet and for my children I substituted the pineapple sorbet for yogurt in one and oat milk/extra banana for yogurt in the other. These are substitutions that I have made over 20 times because we go to a pulp anytime we are near a location and have the time. On this particular visit we walked into an empty store at the estimated pickup time and saw workers that we had never seen at the store. I asked if they were working on an order for Ellen West and (as I always do) asked if they were able to see the allergy modifications and they stated yes. They continued to work on the order and I asked if I could also purchase a gift card when they got a chance. I could tell there was a little frustration but I assumed it was because they were running behind. They explained that they did not know how to sell the gift cards because the system had changed and that they would have to look up the instructions. I said that was fine and waited patiently. Once our smoothies were done I realized that one of the smoothies was supposed to be a double order and somehow I only ordered 1. There was no one in line or in the store so I asked for another of that same smoothie. When I went to pay for it there was an up charge. When I asked why she explained that I had pineapple sorbet in the smoothie. When I explained that it was a substitute for the yogurt, she rudely stated that there is an up charge for the pineapple sorbet and with irritation stated that she should have charged me for all of the modifications. I explained that I had spoken to a manager previously and was told that there were no up charges for swapping ingredients due to an allergies . She stated that she was the owner and there was an up charge. I explained that I have ordered from many locations and never had this issue. She asked where and I told her the locations throughout the Columbus Metropolitan area and in Akron, Ohio. Her response was that she would ask corporate. I paid but I will not return to the Gahanna, Ohio Pulp location. I have recommended Pulp to many people. We love Pulp and we appreciate that they are able to accommodate my allergy and my children's lactose intolerance, however she and her partner seemed to have some sort of animosity towards either me or people with allergies in general. I was in a great mood when I entered, lead with a smile, ordered almost $50 worth of smoothies, bought a gift card, and went ahead and paid the up charge. I left very irritated and upset.

I'm not joking, I heard someone did once from the "Trevor" ( a chocolate stoute cake). Ok I might be kidding but his stuff is really good! He has a home based cottage food baking business, which basically means he works out of his home and you call and make an order and then BAM you get it. He is very easy to work with and if you have an allergy (talking to you peanut people) he is able to accommodate and work with you so you don't have some crazy reaction and loose a foot. Once your order is complete he then is only allowed to have pickup, retail sales at locations or provide limited delivery only in Columbus. Who knows how old this Cottage rule is but someone has to follow it. Enough about him and his place of business lets talk about the goods the baked goods that is. My wife and I have tried pretty much everything he has made, we are the go to guinea pigs. My favorite, the good ol "Standard" Chocolate Chip Cookie as he calls is. It is a huge cookie, I would say a little larger and a lot thicker than a CD/DVD. The large chunks of chocolate chips are out of this world. He adds a pinch of sea salt to the top of the cookie, it makes everything in the cookie that much better tasting but it gives a visual appeal of pure greatness too! The cookie is at just the right moisture, so it bends when you bite into it and is still soft. AWESOME-SAUCE! He has all kinds of goodies some examples are Chocolate-Lavendar Cake, Chocolate-Cinnamon Mustache Sandwich Cookies with Nutella Filling, Pistachio & Lavender Chocolate Toffee, Ligurian Olive Oil, Lemon & Raspberry Cake. These are some of the items he had at his pop-up at the Old Familiar Barber Shop (which is also a great place). Onto price... The cookies (mentioned above) are $2.50 each or for you math whizzes $30/dozen. Hell he might even make is a baker's dozen, who knows? One might say that's too expensive for a cookie, listen here you- you Debbie downer, it is an amazing cookie and is made from scratch, everything is made from scratch. With high quality ingredients. It is just like anything in life, you pay what you get for. So for a gourmet cookie and other desserts, the price is spot on maybe even a little cheap. I couldn't be more impressed with these amazing baked goods and other savory fares.
