Recently, I had my wedding at this venue. I wish I could say it was the best experience but I…read morecannot. Christina Kroeplin. Owner, aka "Coordinator" My experience with her was .. emotionally draining and a great duress to say the very least. My first bad experience with her came the morning I woke up to charges on my invoices. Maybe she didn't think I would notice?! But she certainly never talked to me about it before just adding charges.. I can't say the encounter in asking her was a pleasant one and in fact she refused to directly say WHY there were added charges until much later in the text message argument. She cites that her website says they charge for credit charges. Which if you go to www.TheRanchOnVintonRd.com you'll see, there really isn't much to even see on said website.. Despite this, I still called her and apologized and to squash it. However, Mrs. Kroeplin talked circles around me and broke me down so much all I could do was just cry and agree to everything she was saying. She made statements such as, "You didn't ask the right questions," "If you're unhappy you can cancel." It was 2 weeks out from my wedding and if I had canceled, I would have lost every single cent we put into the wedding. This venue also doesn't supply ice. Which was told to me only 2 days before the event. AFTER We were completely tapped out of money by this point. Im not sure why it's appropriate to expect the bride & groom to supply ice for a venue?!(Oh the venue can.. but for an additional fee!) In order to have ice someone had to leave the property to go get the ice. Day of the wedding, Mrs. Kroeplin was nowhere to be found. She finally made an appearance during our photo sessions, then where she went, I have no idea. What I do know, is it's 7pm and she's not coordinating my wedding. Mrs. Kroeplin was emailed an iternary and even previously promised me, "It will all be fine," "I got this" "Don't worry" Yet, my dear husband was downstairs coordinating 45 minutes after this wedding was supposed to start, because she did not. One of my guests, who was not even in the wedding party, went to go track Mrs. Kroeplin down to get her to do her job! Nearly 2 weeks after my wedding, I haven't recieved any calls, text, emails, or even an invoice. I text Mrs. Kroeplin politely asking how she would be refunding my damage deposit I left. To which she replies, "things were missing" I proceed to leave several emails, over the coarse of a few days, politely asking for photos and basically proof that any items were removed from the property. Mrs. Kroeplin did NOT provide such proof. Matter of fact, She texted me random photos off her iphone. She then after, emails this completely arbitrary list saying; 4 cups, a pillowcase, a white container set, and 4 stick ponies were the missing items. None of the above items, even if they were stolen, total an amount close to $400. And trust me when I say we didn't steal anything because to steal those items, I would have to look at them nearly everyday and be reminded of this horrible experience Mrs. Kroeplin flat out had the gall to say my flower centerpiece belonged to her. No, I paid for them. $264 actually. It shows that on my invoice where it says, "keepsake centerpieces." Which brings me to the insult to injury. After being accused of these items, I received another email flat out insinuating my bridesmaid stole her "$300 and up" sunglasses. My bridesmaid is a well known respected doctor who flew in from Dallas. Who also can easily afford Michael Kors glasses. Why on earth would she want yours?? After I asked for a receipt and you "had to go to sunglass hut to get one" I asked around and was told you should have a warranty for such expensive glasses. So I'm happy to hear that if you lost your glasses you can replace them under your warranty! I might also add that You, Gary and your staff was on hand and posted up at the exit so if anyone tried to take anything, it would have been noticed. Mr. Kroeplin even walked us to our car when we packed up to leave the next day. This venue has alot of promise but very obviously has alot of bugs to work out. Unfortunately I was left with having to report to the BBB all of this information. I hope future weddings will not have go through this disaster. And to Mrs. Kroeplin, at this point I do not want my $400 back. You very obviously need it more than me or my family does. But please remember, one day you will have to stand before the Lord and give account of this...

Sad to have to say that this was a horrible experience…read more Such a cute place but not cute enough to be treated as I was by the owner. A very long story to how she ended up overcharging me but after admitting and agreeing to reimburse me $500, she basically decided to not live up to that. She charged for everything additional she could think of. All the charges that I knew about I happily paid. She charged me like 150 to do slide show yet The screen was unstable the whole time so it was blowing (she said she forgot to tell me to bring sand bags) and the pictures didn't fit screen, she started slideshow 45 past time because she said her connection wasn't working. I still paid for that "service" with no argument. She charged to have a photo area and use her Polaroid, but little did I know that meant her 7 yr old daughter would be taking the pictures. Of nothing I actually wanted but ran through the film that she also charged for. Paid for all that great "service" The s'mores weren't an addional charge they were just a part of the package offered but unfortunately the marshmallows were harder than rocks and nobody was even able to enjoy them. All of this I was willing to look past till after already paying her 500 cash towards the party, she still allowed a family member to pay for the party in "full" totally a charge to her credit card of 1100. Now realize the party came to an end price (after all her extras) of a little over 800 I had paid 500, so that night I owed her about 300 but she charged the relatives credit card 1100!!! Again long story to all this but basically again after getting it all figured out we came up with the new charge and then she agreed to pay the 500 cash back which never happened. I was very saddened to see someone do business this way. I'm not one to give bad reviews but I can't in clear Conscience not say something to possibly help someone else avoid going through what she put me through. She Completly ruined the night for me at my daughters graduation party.

Mind blowing place to experience!…read more Ok, so right off the base, you are hit with this extravagant looking manor with transcendent looking lights and tall gated entrances and tall stands with fire in them. Beautifully decorated hostess stand area with flower bouquets and all kinds of floral accents. Getting to this entrance was a bit of a hassle with either finding parking that's not too far on the streets or waiting in a bit of a line for valet. At least valet is included with your ticket that you purchase in order to attend any of their events. This night also had one complimentary glass of wine, red or white. I went on their Italian night themed events, which included an endless serving of pasta that you mix and match on these cards they give you. Each time you finish a plate, you can get another card and pick your next combo. It does take a while to finally get your next plate though, so you may want to anticipate that. I highly recommend their alfredo or bolognese sauces! I wasn't a fan of their pesto nor their vegetable pasta, which proved to be a veggie based pasta. We ended up being on the 2nd floor which served to be a bit of a hassle for either waiting on food or retrieving your self serve salad or dessert, which were downstairs. We made our way down for some antipasta and decided to hold off on bringing up desserts because we didn't want to crowd the table. Well, we soon found out that we should have grabbed it while the taking was good... meaning, all those lovely looking desserts that we saw at the beginning were absolutely GONE. We got lucky that they happen to bring out these other random finger desserts like a blondie or lemon tart or small cuts of cheesecake. So that was a bit of a bummer. You will definitely get a kick out of touring the manor as they had multiple different themed rooms. I absolutely ADORED their bridal themed one and they had this killer Chinese New Year one. Best part was their apparent "secret tour" which led you upstairs to a third floor where they had a billiard and bar lounge. Supposedly it's a bit haunted too so the employee who brought us up there said he never goes up there by himself. Neat right?! lol Highly highly recommend this experience! Just make sure you take head all my advice for parking, nabbing desserts ahead of time, and anticipating your next round of pasta! so get a table downstairs basically lol.

There are plenty of times that I would like to have a beer without having someone come up to bother me. The crowd here is not that crowd. Although they do not serve too many cocktails, the beer is always cold. The Friday bartender, Julie is very nice and friendly. If you have a veteran that can get you into this place for a drink, take advantage of it. Cheaper prices Han other bars.

Yesterday, was not my first time here, but one of many. I only resided in Anthony for about 18 months. Post 122 provided me a place I could go to decompress and swap military stories with fellow veterans and their guests. I recently stopped by a couple of months ago, after I moved to El Paso, just to see how things were and to my amazement the place was remodeled. They finally added an AMI jukebox, to include the ability to run credit and debit cards. In addition, they've also installed a pool table as well. The bar itself seats about 10-15 people and there's tables in the general area. Parking is great and have handicapped stalls directly in the front. There is a rental hall, which is quite large. I've posted a picture of the rental hall information. I'm very pleased to see this post come around. So, if your in the local Anthony, TX/NM area, stop by and wet your whistle and most importantly, support your veterans!
