He showed me first hand the issue at hand. We had motor mount problems. After he took the part out in front of me he showed me that it was broken. I can tell he is a very honest knowledgeable mechanic which is hard to come by these days. He is a man of God and is a very honest man. He even cleaned and buffed out the headlights. If you're looking for a place to repair your car and get it done right the first time do not come here. I paid Mailo $3,000 to replace an engine in September and within 90 days I've been back between 5 to 10 times for his workers not getting the engine replacement done right. Mailo always has a personal excuse on why the job is not done right or why he has to keep my car for a week and the work is still not done right. This is the worst experience I've ever dealt with when it comes to a mechanic shop. I had to take my car to the dealer to get a second opinion and when I did I found out that his workers left all the vacuum lines disconnected and it was causing a vacuum leaks. The first week that I had my car the car turned off on me while driving. Mailo has horrible customer service. All he keeps telling me is to leave my car which is a big inconvenience. I demanded my money back but of course he said no. Don't ever come here to fix your car you'll regret it like I do. He always has an excuse. So thankful that Mailo was able to help me out when I was in dire need of it. The radiator on my 99 Blazer busted and it was near 5 pm on Saturday. I didn't have another car to go buy a radiator and install it myself, I needed my car the next day. After searching through Yelp for a local and reliable shop, Mailo's shop came up 1st. I gave Mailo's a call and despite being scheduled to close in less than 2 hours, I was told to bring my car in. As soon as I arrived Mailo and his crew began working on my car. I would have given them a 5 star rating, but a 20-30 minute oil change turned into an 1 1/2 hour wait for the oil filter to show up (in triple digit temperature). I loved how they let us bring our 15 quarts of oil and charged the labor. And I'm sure that it would have been 5 stars, if we were out of there in 20-30 minutes. The work areas are tight and messy, but I don't care if the work gets done. I love supporting small business. read more

Don't trust these people they will scam you, I had bought a car from Milo's auto repair his son to be exact Mark and I have went to them for years never in a million years did I think they would scam me. I always paid them for there work for other cars I had, then out of no where I wasn't treated with the respect a loyal customer deserved. He would keep my car for a simple repair for over a month and his excuse was always a personal reason, I would be carless or having to get rentals and there was no communication from there side I would always have to reach out or call multiple times a day to still receive no responses or updates. The car was sold to me at a certain price from them that we agreed upon and then once arrival raised due to a motor part needing to be replaced understandable I paid 3800 for the car and was promised for the ac and paperwork to be fixed and having no problems being able to get title transfers and the tags for the car. He never fixed the ac and I let that slide, then I would consistently txt and ask help for the tags due to the dmv saying the paperwork was incorrect aka the ink slips due to the plates not matching the vehicle. He never helped me out always with empty promises saying he will get it fixed due to that I purchased another vehicle from them that took me almost two years to get the tags switched over and did not want to deal with it again with this car. Never helped me he just got the money and didn't care to keep his side of his promise. Then I come to get my car fixed for a battery/ electrical issue, I drove this car maybe less than 5 months due to the fact something always was wrong with it when he told me the car was in tip top shape besides the ac, the car was at the shop almost every other month and like I said previously he would keep my car for repairs for over a month!!! And every time he said he finally fixed the issue I would ask for receipts of the parts he changed and pictures never received them or he always had an excuse, then for the 3rd time of my car having the same issue of turning off he said it was an electrical problem and that I supposedly had a rats nest in my car, which was very unlikely and since he didn't proved proof even more reason I didn't believe him. When my car was in his care for repairs he got my car towed!!!!! Due to his irresponsibility, I've never gotten any of my vehicles towed and he calls me in the middle of my day when I was at work that I need to get the car out mind u I still haven't gotten the registration due to me having to get so many bills of sales and write offs for things this car had that the dmv needed in order for me to get the transfers and he never once helped me, I calm off work to go get my car and they were unable to give me the car back due to no paperwork with my name in it even tho I have a receipt from the envelope that I started the process of the title switch. Mark the mechanic Milo's shop told me he would pay me the amount of my car due to him getting my car towed I sent him everything he needed and asked for and he went MIA on me now he left a single mother carless and stole not only the recent payment I made to him of 350 dollars 2 to 3 times for the same issue but he technically stole my car. Btw when I went to the tow to get my car out he had 4 other customers cars there towed and had them come get them out and the tow company had told me and gave me a written statement saying that mark the mechanic Milo's son gets his customers cars towed from there on a weekly basis due to that he parks the customers cars on the street where he's not supposed to. I am so upset that I got this type of treatment cuz I've never once disrespected them, I was always going to him for any repairs oil changes etc and for these people to do something like that is ridiculous. But I will make sure they are not getting away with it to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

With the scorching hot weather, my mom and I were desperate to get her car's A/C fixed, and the Honda dealership didn't have any openings until Wednesday. With it being after 4 PM on a Saturday, most shops were either closed or couldn't provide the type of refrigerant the car needed. Luckily, I found Mailo's Auto Repair on Yelp! Mailo answered the phone promptly, gave us the price upfront, and told us we could bring the car in right away. He got right to work and was done in no time. He was very kind, professional, attentive, and he made sure to explain everything he was doing and why. The price was very fair, especially compared to the dealership and to a sketchy shop I had called before finding Mailo's shop. Great quality work and great customer service. The air is coming out ice cold now, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, and truly HONEST mechanic. Emphasis on honest! One of the shops I called before finding Mailo's said that they carry the type of refrigerant the car uses, but that they can also fill it with the cheaper kind that was used before, as opposed to using the newer expensive kind that the label on the car says it uses. I'm now very glad we found that too suspicious and went to Mailo's shop instead. He made sure to tell us which refrigerant he was putting in, show us the container, and explain why it costs more than the older kind. Turns out that using any other kind would have caused contamination between the two types, damaging the A/C system and making mechanics unwilling to work on it. read more

Because the fucking man misunderstood what I was trying to say, he proceeds to say that I was saying that my air conditioning was working before I arrived there, which I didn't. I said that my air conditioning was working in the morning. Then says to my mom that I'm not understanding that these things randomly happen, which I did understand, but this man didn't comprehend in his right mind that I wasn't putting any blame on him. Then he proceeds to try and call me out on my attitude when with my mom while I'm right there, as if ignoring me. This is the owner mind you. Then the air conditioning guy says he's gonna charge me $80 dollars to check what the problem was and had to take it all apart, then tries to give me some papers before we left. I was stranded off of Citrus and the 10 fwy and was looking for a mechanic that I could tow my car to at 5:30PM. So I find out Mailo's the only mechanic open past 6PM (never trust a tow truck to get to you within 30min) and he helped me out while giving a reasonable quote. He could have taken advantage of the situation and charged me some ridiculous price being the only available mechanic at the hour (by the time I got to him, it was 6:45PM). I was told if I can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, so I'll keep it simple I brought my Mercedes in for a new radiator to be put in . I brought my own part. By the time I had to take my car back because it was so far being worked on for 3 days because the mechanics kept breaking some thing else overflow tank had so much pressure that it almost popped ,the cv boot control arms were now loose they weren't when I took the car in and I had to get a 2nd radiator cause whatever they did broke the new one they just put in. These guys are absolutely the best! Called Mailo on Saturday at 6 because my car started acting funny on a trip from Palm Springs to LA, we still had an hour left to drive and I wanted to make sure it was safe to drive. They had just closed the shop but him and his brother waited for us to get there so they can check my car and fix it. What seemed first like a transmission problem with actually a problem with the battery and alternator, instead of just replacing the transmission and charging me a few thousand dollars they actually dug to the root of the problem and just replaced my alternator and battery, and gave me a great deal on it too! It took about 3 hours of their Saturday evening, but they made sure that my car is perfectly ok to drive and called an hour later to make sure we got to LA ok. Can't speak highly enough! Overall a wonderful experience dealing with something that otherwise could have turned really badly read more

These guys are seriously the best! They are so attentive, reliable and most honest. I had some car issues a while back and all my local repair shops would give me the run around and wouldn't even give me the chance to bring my car in. I called Mailo and even though it was 115f degrees outside he was like "bring it in lets take a look at it" told me everything he was going to do and kept me updated and my car was done in the time he said it would be. I've had a few scares where my dashboard lights came on and I called Mailo and he was quick to say again "bring it in lets take a look" his brother helped me and was also very informative. I paid a few grand to have 3 parts replaced including my engine, after only a month of having a "fixed" car my 'new' engine seized. so I am left with an undrivable car after taking it to another shop for inspection I am told that the other parts I had also paid for were very faulty and was what caused the engine to seize. The best service I've ever had in my life! If you need to fix your car you need to read this! Mailo is not only a great mechanic he is also one of the best human beings you will ever meet. My brother and I were headed from Phoenix to San Diego to visit family. A couple miles outside of Fontana, CA our serpentine belt, bearing, and bracket broke and our car overheated. It was Friday night past 8:30 pm and every mechanic we called around town weren't picking up. Mailo answered our call, it was his wife's birthday and his shop was closed but he told us he would be happy to help us. We had our car towed to his shop and he drove down to his garage after hours to assure us that he could fix the car and everything would be ok. The next morning (Saturday) the part to fix our car arrived but the part company sent the wrong part. Mailo called all over and drove to other part stores to try and find us the part we needed. Nobody had what we needed to fix our car. It was Saturday and Mailo said the soonest anyone could get us the part would be the following Tuesday. Mailo didn't want us to miss spending time with our family so he had his son drive six hours through traffic to the only dealership that had the parts we needed. I was so unbelievably happy with how far Mailo and his team were going to help us out. While we were waiting for the parts to arrive Mailo took us out with him and his wife to their favorite Mexican restaurant. He introduced us to his friends and the owner of the restaurant. Mailo paid for our meal and treated us like we were apart of his family. A couple hours later the part arrived and he had our car fixed very quickly, he could have charged us as much he wanted at that point and I would have gladly paid him. He gave us our bill and it was so reasonable for all the hassle he had to go through to help us. He is the best and most honest mechanic I've ever seen in my life!
