I didn't even read the reviews. I didn't want to be a pier runner so I went with a ship tour. I am so glad I did! First of all, our tour guide did a great job. The tour started out at the Centro Social Cultural Center. I've past by it but never been in it. Very historical, used to be a casino back in the day. Now it's a place mostly for tourists and weddings. We got free Mexican coke and then shopped at the courtyard. Prices were high at the booths but it was fun to browse. We then went to Santo Tomas winery. The place is modern and beautiful. I don't drink so that part was boring. They had a tasting of their olive oil. I couldn't tell the difference but I enjoyed that, the bread and the cheese. There were too many people gathered around it though. Finally, we drove 45 minutes to LA Bufadora. I did not know that we got free tacos and soda for free at Lidias taco and grill. It was a 5 hour tour around lunch time. We were told we could pay 50 cents to use Lydia's restroom. Tip use the bus restroom for free. Lydia's taco was so good. I got 2 fish tacos. It was hard to find seating as there were so many bus tours dropping off. We did find one though. Then we were led down the long walkway of market stalls. Ignore all the vendors yelling at you to buy. But do sample all the churros, candy and drinksfor free. We were left at the LA bufadora on our own. It takes awhile to get your selfie in front of it but it's worth it. There's also a giant Ensanada sign to take pics with. Overall, this was a great tour company! I highly recommend!

Leslie was organized and very informative as we toured a famous and impressive former resort, once frequented by several well known Hollywood personalities. This was a very interesting opportunity. As a former professional educator and also a former tour manager, I recognize personal qualities in Leslie that significantly enhanced our entire tour experience. She had the ability to bond with everyone on the tour, which assured an orderly process anytime we left the bus and returned. Her manner was both helpful and friendly and she assured that our group was safe, secure and satisfied with every aspect of the tour. This is one tour guide I would employ in a heartbeat if the business was my own. She was very professional. Exceptionally well done, Leslie!

There are plenty of shops to choose from should you have house or souvenir needs. The beautiful ENSANADA sign is situated at the very end. And then there's that majestic flag that weighs over 300lbs - 2nd biggest in the world, according to our tour guide, Alfredo. It was a quick run (given we were a part of a tour group) but interesting, nonetheless. It's one of those places you keep in mind to visit again and walk through at your own pace. After completing the 50 miles of riding in the Rosarito to Ensenada event a shower sure was needed!…read more The shuttle service we contracted out of San Diego provided directions to a local business near the finish line to get cleaned up at, after a short walk of a few blocks we located this shower and spa business. A little different than the free showers offered in the bathrooms we have here at our beaches. In through a dark and narrow hall I followed my friend and up to the service window we stopped... So helpful that she speaks the language, I'm a dolt for taking French in high school rather than Spanish! $3 bucks for use of a shower closet that featured a seat, a mirror, a small shelf to place your products, and hot and cold water (hot on the left). After that ride I must have rinsed off a pound of sweat and dust! lol I'm use to parking lot rinsing from mountain bike rides so this place was kind of a comfort. They have an attendant who keep the floors mopped up and there is plenty of sunlight to fill your shower, just don't close the door all the way! lol

Today I felt like getting off. Exiting through the checkpoint was a breeze. Coming back through about at hour later was a breeze through security scanners and back on the ship. Staff at the checkpoint were friendly.
