All because she was embarrassed she acted like I was threatening, no I was upset I never cursed at her or made anything threatening towards her. In the past, Dr. Sood and I as a patient had to go up against Sutter for going outside what the "Standard of Care" demanded, which has nothing to do with the patients health. Ok long preamble, but sets the stage. With Dr Cook you become a partner as to not only your medical care, but more importantly a partner in keeping you healthy, to where you don't need to see a doctor or go to the hospital, except for breaking a leg or other accidents. This knowledge that you, the individual, are in charge of your own health care, is non-existent inside the big medical institutions. Because of his care and acknowledging that I, the patient, have a say, is prolly one of the reasons I am as healthy as I am at my age. I know if I was subject to, or actually followed the advice, (God no) of Sutter, or Kaiser or any other major medical cartel it would be a different story. As an extra he personally calls to discuss results of blood test, MRI's, etc. So you might think this guy is right around the corner and easy for me to go to. Nope. At one time it was a 12 minute drive but years ago I moved and now it's about 1 hr 40 min drive 1 way if I catch good traffic. As  a doctor it's worth the drive.

No, I'm not kidding! You cannot e-mail your Dr, instead you have to leave any message with the bored and bothered staff.

Through the years, I have been treated by both Nurse Practitioner Mark Stoner. and Nurse Practitioner, Dayna Iverson. My experience with both has been exceptional. The reason I decided to write this review is much more of an appreciation for the great work done on the part of Mark Stoner. I have been experiencing extreme pain in my back and body for some time. Often, physicians and nurses will fill a Schedule II controlled substance prescription, prior to finding out the root of the patient's pain. However, not at Pathway Healthcare! Instead, they go deeper with their patients, by getting to know them a little better, and working to find a solution to the problem, and not just a quick pain relief, "fix." My story is that instead of rushing to put me on Norco or anything of the sort, I was given Ibuprofen and immediately referred to a local Neurologist. The Neurologist's test results revealed that I needed to be sent to UCSF for even further testing. So, to make an even longer story shorter, I am now going to have surgery at UCSF. After surgery and some physical therapy, I should be good as new! The bottom line is that none of this would be happening had I not been under the careful watch of Pathway Healthcare in Oakdale, California. I am forever grateful!
