I was very surprised to see all of the more negative feedback on Yelp about Dr Dave. I have been seeing Dr. Dave for close to two years, and he has time and time again proved to be attentive, caring, inquisitive, and authentic with me. He so far is the ONLY psychiatrist that actually cared to take the time to actually listen to me and ask questions. As a young female, I have historically struggled to find medical professionals who do not prematurely dismiss me and my concerns. Dr. Dave has listened to me, made me feel heard and important, and done an extremely well job in tending to my prescriptions and needs. As for his front desk staff, I do understand the concerns that people have expressed about them. They can be short and impatient. HOWEVER... that annoyance pales in comparison to the caring treatment that I have received from Dr. Dave. I encourage anyone (younger patients or females in particular) to seek treatment from Dr. Dave. I have no doubt that he will impact your journey positively. So very grateful for him! read more

My doctor didn't even show up to my appointment and the staff didn't even tell me that he called out until I was in the waiting room for 3 hours. They said "he'd be here any minute" but he never showed. They drove in a woman from HOUSTON to take over his appointment. She barely listened and prescribed me medicine that I specifically said I had a bad reaction with. Anyway, I was given 1 week work of meds and the absolutely inept receptionist gave me an appointment for a month out. So I called them to refill my prescription. They SAID they sent it to Walgreens (it was a Friday) and Walgreens said they never received it. I drove to the office at 3ish to talk to them and they CLOSED EARLY with no notice. WTF. Remember, I still haven't met my doctor at this point. Everyone there sucks. Don't go there. read more

Is Dr Dave good, well I wouldn't know, but if he is anything like his staff then it would be a resounding no! My family made an appointment for my brother a month before, but the day of his appointment we received a voicemail saying the Dr had an emergency and to please call in to reschedule. We did and the receptionist or whomever received the call said my brother was not in the system and the next appointment available was in 2 months. We asked how could he not be in the system yet we received a VM to reschedule his appointment? She literally said "Don't know and don't care, I'm busy, so do you want to make an appointment for 2 months from now or not?" My brother might be dead by then so I'm looking elsewhere. read more

If you can, go to someone else. If you can't, do your own research on your conditions and medications, because he'll brush off any questions you have about them with non-answers. He'll frequently prescribe incorrect dosages and quantities, so check your prescriptions. Getting them to change anything or do anything at all when you're not there will take 3 calls at an absolute minimum. It's hard for me to tell whether this is entirely the fault of Dave or the fault of the nurse's as well, tho I've never had a particularly bad interaction with the nurses. Be prepared to wait up to an hour, maybe more. Be prepared for a ten minute appointment at most. He won't ask anything about how you've been feeling, instead he will just have you fill out this little survey thing. If you have depression or anything of the sort he will tell you to buy a 700 dollar biofeeback machine. I didn't and assume it's BS. He talks about it like a used car salesman. Says it helps/cures "anxiety, depression, insomnia." There's pill-branded stuff everywhere--literally everything you can think of looks as if it has been "donated" by a pharmaceutical company. I checked online and couldn't find anything about him taking money from drug companies, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was some sort of unethical relationship going on. Every now and then you'll see a man in a suit in the waiting room. That's a drug rep. You'll see said drug rep's fancy car in the parking lot as you leave. When/if you see his substitute psychiatrist CHECK YOUR SCRIPTS. His sub once gave me the wrong medicine, even though I insisted it was the wrong medicine. She kept saying it was the same and then whisked me out. What she gave me was an entirely different anti anxiety medicine that acted way shorter than my other one. It's hard for me to tell whether he is a pill-pusher or just lazy. He will likely overprescribe you. Please please please do you own research. I know you shouldn't have to, that that's the job of the psychiatrist, but taking the wrong meds can mess you up for a long time. A ten minute meeting with a psychiatrist can end up damaging your mental health for a long time. He's probably still the only if not one of the only psychiatrists in private practice in BCS. I haven't seen him in a few months, so I'm not totally sure of that. Look out for yourselves, friends. Be aware he may try to cheat you out of your money. Be aware his laziness may impact your mental health. The research isn't as intimidating as it seems. read more

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. This doctor was nice at first, but then got upset when I asked questions about the medicine he prescribed. He literally said to me, "If you had cancer you would take the medicine the doctor prescribed without question. I am the doctor, you are the patient." Yeah right, like I'm going to blindly take what medicine he tells me to take. I have the right to know the side-effects. read more

Mahesh has been my doctor for almost 40yrs! He is one of the few doctors that I've had that really listen to you. You know he genuinely cares about you and your needs as soon as you start talking to him. I first saw him when I was deeply depressed after my brother passed away. Although I wouldn't look at him and spoke very little he knew immediately that I needed to be in an inpatient facility right away. Dr Dave will always be my doctor when I am residing in BCS (I've move away a couple of times). I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a psychiatrist in this area! read more

From the moment I walked into the doctor's office, he made me feel completely uneasy. He was argumentative, tyrannical, and rude. He is easily the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life.
