Great temperament, beautiful coat, and so adorable! He's 1 1/2 now. It's very important to me that I get my dogs at a place that I can be sure is not a puppy mill. I went to the farm to pick my puppy and I got to meet both his parents. I found the parents to be social and unafraid. She did have about 10 dogs, but they were all groomed. She had them in an indoor outdoor kennel enclosure so they could go outside if they wanted to. The inside part was heated and cooled. She wouldn't even allow me to visit the puppies until they'd had their shots, which I thought was very responsible. My dog is a healthy boy. My neighbor has bought her last 3 dogs from here over the last 20 years, which is how I found this place. One of my neighbor's dogs just died at the ripe old age of 13.

So we left our hunting dog (Duke) there for a short week while on vacation. Duke has never stayed at a kennel before or cared for by strangers. We got home a day early so I stopped by a day before we were expected to pick him up (right at closing time). Even before he saw me, he seemed happy and content being on the leash with one of the kennel owners. He was clean and smelt good, kennel owner said he ate all the food I left and ate every meal which tells me he wasn't stressed. Although we are rarely in need of a boarding kennel, I will use Dover Kennels again. Thanks for taking care of our boy.
