I started my car I couldn't get it to run smooth and when I put it in gear and stepped on the gas it would either stall or not go anywhere. After I came to the conclusion that the car most likely needed a new throttle body as this was a very common problem with these vehicles. I decided to go to Samir at Magnolia Service Station because he had done some work with my daughters car and I found him to be honest and thorough. I told him about the car. He said he would like to diagnose the car and make sure that is the problem but it would cost me x amount. I said I'm almost sure it's the throttle body. He said ok let me price the job and I'll let you know. He called me back and said that the part alone was going to cost $650 and I was looking at around $900. I said I'm not even sure I can come up with that right now. I said I'll get back to you. The next day Samir contacted me and said he did some searching and found a rebuilt aftermarket throttle body for only $200 and for $400 he could put that in but he couldn't guarantee an aftermarket rebuilt part. I said great! I had my car towed to him and by the end of the day he called and said well I put it in but the car won't even start now. So he said I'll get the $650 one, install it, and if it fixes it we'll know the rebuilt was faulty. I said good. So he did it and the car still didn't start!! So Samir said let me treat this like you brought it in and said my car isn't running right. I said sure at the end of that day I called him and said how's it going? He said I'm up to my neck in this car trying to figure out what the issue is. I'm gonna have to keep it another day. I said no problem. The next morning I drove there and saw that my car was in the garage with all of the doors wide open and wires and parts everywhere. I'm thinking well he's definitely trying very hard to find the problem, but this is gonna cost me a fortune! lol I went into the office to find Samir consumed with his computer screen! I showed him dome old codes that had showed up on my fixd scanner app over the summer on my car and he was like thanks but I don't think any of that is gonna help at this point. I was like ok, I'll let you get back to work. Hours later at the end of the day I got a call from Samir sounding optimistic. He said I believe I found the problem. It is something that noone would even consider. I should have your car done by noon tomorrow! I said awesome! Sure enough he called and said your all set. I said ok great, what's the damage? I'm expecting some ridiculous number! He said well unfortunately we are right around the amount I had told you originally that it would cost if l had put in the new updated throttle body. He said I literally replaced your throttle body 3 times, the rebuilt, the expensive one, and then back to your original one. But I did clean it for you he said. He said it's $927 but you will get $200 back once I get the money back for the rebuilt throttle body. I said ok Samir ". I knew he was giving me a big break because just the throttle bodies in and out alone would have cost me $600. That's not including taking the car apart and the searching and testing switches and relays he had to do to find the issue plus the cost of any part he had to replace.I said what was the problem? He said your not gonna beleive it. I said what? He said it was a sensor in your AC unit. We both laughed. I said that is what made my car not run right? He told me that he had learned that this sensor was the first in a line of sensors that went to several other sensors. And because this sensor shorted out, none of the sensors after it were getting power. I laughed and remembered how my AC stopped working shortly before the car started running horrible. As I drove away, I though I wonder and turned on my AC. Sure enough it blew cokd like it had since the day I got it recharged!! And the reason I'm writing this review a week later, is because my cruise control never worked on this car and yesterday I drove up to Amesbury Ma. and tried it just for the hell of it and sure enough it worked now!! So not only did Samir fix my car, charge me hundreds less then he could have, but he inadvertently fixed two more issues than he was originally tasked to fix. I'm thinking that either all if his unplugging and plugging back in of wires and sensors corrected the cruise control issue, or the sensor($100 by the way!) that he replaced fixed the AC, the Cruise Control, and the car not being able to drive two feet without stalling! read more

I first went to these guys because they were conveniently located for me. Now I'm sold! They've done brake work & tire mounting balancing etc. on our BMW 1 series. The brake work is excellent & the tire balance is perfect. They've also done tires, oil change, & coolant on my Silverado with the same results. Great attention to detail & fine work. Using Super coups, I can't change oil myself for what they charge. Good people too. I recommend them without reservation. read more
