Disappointing and obnoxiously unavailable…read more All of my kids have attended therapy here at one point or another, and two shared the same therapist. One of my children needed consistent support but was suddenly dropped as a client under false circumstances. When I tried to find a different therapist, per my child's request and the advice of other medical professionals, I attempted to stay with the practice. An appointment was made with a new therapist, only for the practice to later cancel it and say my child was restricted to seeing only one other therapist, without providing any explanation. That therapist had limited availability, which would have required me to pull my child from school inconsistently. When I explained that wouldn't work, I was told, "Well, maybe this isn't the right practice for you." Not my child, me. I was advocating for my child to receive consistent care, and that response was incredibly disappointing. Don't waste your time here, you'll end up needing more therapy than what you walked in with.

I rate Dr Hanna-Moussa as one of my very best--a high-performing, competent, and passionate doctor who is deeply committed to his work. I have been his grateful patient for many years. An example of his patient care is what just happened to me on my vacation to New England, when he rescued me after a Dexcom G7 BGM failed. His quick assistance and willingness to help were amazing. Here's what happened. I had packed one additional G7 for the trip. Because my current G7 got caught on clothing and was ripped off my arm, I inserted my new "spare" G7. That G7 BGM, upon insertion, had an immediate hardware failure- displaying a failed sensor; replace immediately. I had no other G7's with me. This all happened while: I was on vacation 2,800 miles away. There was a 3-hour time zone difference between Arizona and my vacation location on the East Coast. This happened at the worst of times, on a SUNDAY at 6:00 am Arizona time. Panic definitely set in. I started calling everyone. Most responses were "We are closed; call back during regular business hours, Monday through Friday." I had no other G7's with me, and Dr. Moussa's quick, remote assistance showed his genuine dedication to patient support, especially during emergencies. This level of support is truly above and beyond what most medical professionals would do, and it makes me feel deeply grateful. Dr. Deer is one that I recognize as "not a good doctor". I put that in quotes because I'm sure he is great for some people. However, my experience with Dr. Deer was not one that I could come home and say, "Wow, (s)he is a good doc that really knows what they are doing!". Endos like that are few and far between, but they do exist. A doctor I can trust is one that thinks outside the box. They keep up on new research and don't stick rigidly to the numbers they learned in school. They know and consider greatly, the human factor. They have good bedside manners. They have listened to their patients over the years, and maybe found a large number of them who have a specific diagnosis complain of the same certain thing(s) that don't fit with the description of the disease. So, they consider this and don't just dismiss the patient with a "doctor knows best" attitude. They run the tests, prescribe the medications, and don't give up trying. Although I don't know for sure, because of my experience, I don't have confidence that Dr. Deer is like that. One reason I can give is when I asked him if there are anymore thyroid tests other than TSH and T4, he said there is not. I know that's a lie.

Not really sure which doctor was her best option, we chose Dr. Pramhus, and boy, were we happy we did. He has a terrific 'bedside manner', seems very knowledgeable, and just seems like a really great guy. When my wife would go in for an issue, he was willing to stick around and discuss other questions, etc.. He also responds very quickly through the online portal, and has even called us directly in response to questions we post online. We liked him so much that I have even decided to make him my PCP as well. We're very happy with him.

The day before our appt they called and said that since we had Optim as part of our medicare/HealthNet insurance that the NP (Kirstin Blackshear) couldn't see us because Optim wouldn't ok any tests or pay anything on what she ordered. I have worked beside and had many NP's as my PCP. NP's work under a doctor's license and they certainly can order tests and the like. The insurance company obviously has a problem with her. My insurance card had Dr. Pramus as my PCP. They refused to let us see her and told me that they could schedule us for an end end of July appt with Dr. Pramhus. So we would have to wait another 2 weeks for an appt. We are both diabetics and I have A-fib. I explained this to the receptionist. I didn't get any sort of understanding or sympathy. No apology. Nothing. Obviously we are going to have to find yet another doctor and wait probably, another couple of months. While I can't speak of the care you would receive, since they wouldn't see us, I certainly don't think their front office is at all capable. Might want to think twice before seeing them.

I saw her for the first time 2 weeks ago where she spent a nice amount of time doing the initial consult and asking lots of questions. My second appt last week, she went over her findings and recommendation on a game plan. Between the herbal tea, natural supplements and the diet she recommended, my body seems to have shifted! My recovery finally feels as though it's taking a turn for the better. THIS IS THE BEST I'VE FELT IN 3 MONTHS! In less than a week, my chronic cough is so much less. My voice is back and I'm no longer wheezing every night! The discomfort in my abdomen is almost completely gone. Dr Winters performed an IME on me for my employers workers comp co. My EXPERIENCE…read moreWinters walked in straight face, rigid w/ few words. He performed his examination on my knee and ankle as if I was a piece of plastic & had no pain. Winters never asked what difficulties I had been experiencing. He asked me to lay down on the examination table & my knee automatically jerked. Dr. Winter asked me if I was able to straighten my leg when I laid down &I told him I need to use a pillow under my knee to prevent it from hurting & jerking at times. Winters said nothing and proceeded with his exam, roughly twisting the bottom of my leg (knee down) like a wind up to. Winters was extremely unkind, uncaring & rough. Dr Winters was paid a pretty penny to state that I do not need surgery on my "complete torn tendon" in my right ankle and torn meniscus. Winters was shown pics of me at the gym working out. All work outs were within PT's parameters. WARNING!
