Spot 9 was wide however not very level. The bathhouse was very close however the accommodations were very dated. They were building new bathrooms adjacent to the old one, but they were just starting. Might be ready for summer. The park has a wonderful lake with boat rentals and a splash park. It was a very quiet park. Many restaurants and grocery stores are located near by.

We had a long trip to South Carolina so being able to wash clothes was a plus. Bring laundry soap (the little Pods are great for travel) and dryer sheets. Be sure to request extra towels if you need them. We were able to buy our food at the Wal-Mart across from Gate 4, but I would recommend going a little further and shop at Kroger, there is a better selection after the Tuesday night rush.

There were cats walking on the kitchen counters and clutter on the tables. The deck/porch outside the trailer was decrepit and the gate was broken. The so called "club house" was a storage shed with no bathroom, running water, heat/A/C, the gardens were run down flower beds. At the time of our visit, they were NOT affiliated with AANR, I verified this with AANR headquarters when I called them to file a complaint with them for allowing their name to be affiliated with such a deplorable, rundown, and unhealthy place claiming to be a a "relaxing getaway and member of AANR".

We wanted to try the bar on property but it never seemed to be open even during the stated business hours, that was annoying. My room was on the 2nd floor and had 2 queen beds, a chair and a dresser with fridge. Features I appreciated... the full length mirror on the closet door, double shades on the window, hairdryer, magnifying mirror and bathroom nightlight. No coffee maker in the room, there are some for guests to use in the hallways on each floor though. Be aware that some rooms have skylights with no cover directly over the bed. My room did not, thankfully, but a co-worker got a room like that and was very uncomfortable and of course the sun blazes in at first light right in your face. That needs to be addressed, imho. Enjoyed the walkability and location. Valet parking only as is typical of this area of Columbia'.
